So this deal is $99 for the game plus NFL Sunday Ticket mobile/web access right? I saw it's an Amazon exclusive. Web/Mobile/Tablet access includes Red Zone right? I had Sunday Ticket last year, but only used it on the TV.
If that's the case, I'd rather do this, than spend the $249 for a season on Directv.

The wording on this deal still scares me:
The way I read that, is if you are a DirecTV subscriber you get jack unless you subscribe to Sunday Ticket Max (which makes absolutely no sense, because isn't that package the one that includes Sunday Ticket on your computer, tablet or mobile?) If you're not a DirecTV subscriber but you can get it, you get a discount on subscription. If you absolutely positively cannot get DirecTV, then hey, free mobile sunday ticket.
I know people are saying to just tell them you live in an apartment that doesn't allow satellites or something, but I wonder how stringent this is going to be.
Also, unless the DirecTV app programs in Chromecast compatibility (fat chance), or if you can play it through Chrome, I doubt people will be able to watch this on their TV with Chromecast.

The wording that has me concern is "trial" and "eligible gamers". I wonder if you will only be able to view certain games and not all of them. Here is the wording from the easports website:

When this was announced they talked about that in several gaming sites, like the kotaku link above. Basically, because of lawyers, permissions, contracts, etc. they can't openly say that you don't need DirectTV for this.
I'm sure you'll be able to return it if you can't use it without a DirectTV sub.

Yeah, they are trying to avoid that you can watch this in your TV. Hence the PS3 ban.

I tried out the demo, and liked it. It might have been the most fun I've had playing Madden in awhile.
The problem is that it was as slow as molasses. I don't mean loading screens, I mean players moving, and general game speed. My wife even asked if it was supposed to be so slow. Game speed was set to normal, so I don't know if it was the demo or what.
I played as the 49ers, and during one series, the Ravens had the ball and were about to snap it. The play clock went from 40 to 30 but it took 45 seconds. I'm not even kidding. It was like Flacco was frozen, but I could still move my defenders, and he was calling signals.
If the final game like this, I just saved $60.

Speaking of loading times, I would actually prefer if they had an option to bypass all of those fancy menus and just let me get into the game quicker.

Any confirmation on if you have Directv, but no Sunday Ticket, can you still get this game and enter the code and still watch the games on the computer and Ipad?
Edit: I went ahead and purchased it. I have Directv, but no Sunday Ticket. If this works for me, it's already worth it.
I just checked a different message board and a poster there said it works just fine for those with Directv and no Sunday Ticket. They give you an insert with a unique log-in and password.

I'm on the 360, and i just did a fantasy draft for all 56 picks, And the game immediately froze right after the last pick. Lost everything. I'm super pissed

I wish they fixed the connection to the EA servers. Last year, I kept getting signed out in the middle of a game. So far in Madden 25, I've been signed out during the middle of a game twice and I am even hardwire connected. I am still signed in on my ps3 but signed out on the EA server. It makes it impossible for me to play ultimate.

absolutely ridiculous and another reason I'm glad I didn't pick this game up. I hear most are completely under-whelmed with this beign the 25th iteration of the game and it's just more broken garbage.

Yeah EA is pathetic. I'm just so big of an NFL fan that I buy it every year regardless. Maybe they'll lose the license and we can get some other developer(s) to make some better games. There should be no exclusive developer. As has been stated numerous times, competition breeds excellence

I got the game just for NFL Sunday Ticket and was planning on trading in at Best Buy, since the store is advertising $45 trade in value for the game. Best Buy wouldn't take it because it was the Amazon exclusive version. Gamestop gave me $30 for it.
