I kind of figured Xenoblade Chronicles would be #1 on the list and was glad to see Virtue's Last Reward in the top 15. Outside of that it's been kind of a dull year.

Prototype 2? I enjoyed the game but it was really repetitive.
Also, while I agree with the choice of Xenoblade Chronicles (not sure if it's number 1, but whatever), it's amazing to me that a game that looks pretty terrible because of the limitations of the Wii, and basically avoids anything specific to the Wii (ie: motion controls), was that good. Why can't we get pretty next-gen JRPGs like that? Heck, why can't I play Xenoblade Chronicles on my Wii U controller?
edited: oops, meant Xenoblade Chronicles... I always get it mixed up with Xenosaga...

But I otherwise agree with your assessment.

No Halo 4? Seriously? The game was awesome and it should in any Top 25 list. Whatever criticism you can put in the game, you can say the same about half of the games in that list.
Anyways...
Anyways...

Glad to see Sleeping Dogs on there. I spent so much time with that game this year it was like I had a second child.
Enjoyed every minute of it.

Yeah seems odd. It's easy to dismiss games because they're CoD or Halo, but Halo 4 was damn good. Not even coming in at 25? That's some serious ax to grind.

It's a sad year of gaming when DLC tops most of the list.
Also, part of me doesn't want to see Bioware win praise for ME 3. They pissed off so many fans with a shoddy ending, broken promises, day one DLC. Then followed up with weak overpriced DLC. I'm a huge ME fan, and had to skip over Omega. Way too overpriced.

Persona 4 Golden is a very Japanese RPG. It's part High School simulator, part mystery, part dungeon crawler RPG.
Virtue's Last Reward is an interactive novel/puzzle game that is the sequel to 999, 9 people locked in a building looking for a reason why and a way out before they're systematically killed off, has a lot to do with alternate timelines (You can make different choices, each spawns a different timeline, you can jump to alternate timelines at any time.)
Virtue's Last Reward is the only game I've really put a good amount of time into this year, I like it a lot but man is it long winded.

Nice to see both Personas make it.
Still playing Persona 4 Golden, actually. It should be much, much higher.
It's $15 and totally worth it. Are you poor or something?

Persona 4 Golden is fun and would probably be higher if it weren't a re-release.
