Kinect Sensor W/ Older 360?
Hey
I'm thinking about getting one of those Holiday Bundles that has the Kinect Sensor to give to my daughter. They have the "older" 360. I actually want the "New" one to replace my older one that has been acting up and plus I've repaired the heat issue twice already.
Will the Kinect connect and function fine on the older 360's and in terms of fun I'm guessing it appeals just fine for kids and younger crowd?

That's what I have set up in my house. The older one in the family room for the kids with a Kinect plugged into it, the new one in the Man Cave for me.
The only thing with the old 360 and Kinect is that it has to be plugged into an AC outlet. The slim 360s can power the Kinect themselves through the cable.

Yes what everyone is saying is 100% correct. the new bundles do not come with ther A/C cord that is required to use the connect with the older systems. If you buy a Kinect by itself it comes with that cord but when buying it with a bundle package for a newer system it is not included as it is not needed for that system.

The official Kinect power adapter is $35:

Amazon has some cheap knockoff adapters, but the quality of them appears to be YMMV:

Last year I bought a 250GB Xbox Holiday bundle and a separate Kinect Holiday bundle. With the bundled in games for each and the sale prices, this was a better deal than buying a 250GB Xbox bundled with the Kinect.

Hey
I ended up getting the refurb unit with the game on mazon. What's the best mount or mounting for this if you have a TV on the wall? I've seen these clamps and actual wall mounts but wasn't sure. The top of the TV is about 62"-66".

I haven't hooked up the kinect yet (christmas present for the boy), but this one was highly rated and was exactly what i was looking for price-wise (read: cheap).

I bought it when it was like $6 and change from Amazon. Looks like it's up to $9 through them.
