It's really a Nintendo of America thing; Europe gets quite a few special editions. They also get physical releases of titles that are eShop-only over here. NoA had the worst Club Nintendo rewards too.
What's replacing Club Nintendo anyway? Did they announce that yet? |

Where is that Xenoblade Chronicles LE going to be coming out? Is it a store exclusive?
It's kind of amazing how few special editions Nintendo puts out, considering they'd sell like hotcakes, or even amiibos. http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/...YYO2swEaDakrqA |

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Question:
There's a bundle that contains Super Mario Bros U and Super Luigi Bros U for $60. But why the hell are both those games $60 individually? I know Nintendo rarely lowers prices but damn, that's just ridiculous. |
Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
New Super Luigi U was $20 digitally and $30 at retail. It's out of print, so you're probably seeing reseller prices. I wonder if it's something similar with NSMBU...just old copies floating around at silly prices. None of the new copies on Amazon seem to be sold by Amazon themselves. Other retailers do seem to be stocking NSMBU individually, so maybe Nintendo is just letting copies already in the wild sit there until they're gone. They're weird, not that you need me to tell you that.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I think he's talking about the game that was bundled with the system for awhile there. It was never sold in stores, so there are fewer copies out there at higher prices.

Edit - apparently the retail release is coming on October 16th. If it's in a blue case, it's from the 2013 bundle. If it's in a red case, it's the retail release. |
Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Star Fox Zero is being delayed till early next year, which -- judging from the less-than-enthusiastic reception thus far -- would seem to be a good thing.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Some eShop data -- in a couple places, even -- is pointing towards a high-def remaster of Twilight Princess. (Maybe it's part of a 30th anniversary thing for next year, if you go by when Legend of Zelda came out in Japan?)

Wooly World is pretty fun. I'm having a good time exploring the levels.

Is this web page giving anyone problems? I'm trying to buy games on Virtual Console via nintendo.com, but it just keeps on loading and loading.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
I just bought a Wii U the other day. Maybe not the smartest decision since there are very few Wii U games that interest me and with the NX looming, but I do really like the system itself. Being able to play Super Metroid on the controller is pretty damn awesome. The only thing that could have made it better is if the controller actually doubled as a full fledged portable, but it sounds like that is in the cards for the NX.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
So is Woolly World worth the purchase? It seems like gaming critics think it's okay, while non-critics love it.

Re: The Wii U: From "cool" Sony to evil Nintendo
Nintendo platformers have fallen out of popularity with critics for awhile now. Yoshi's Wooly World, New Super Mario Bros U/New Super Luigi U, Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker and Super Mario 3D World are all fantastic games that except for 3D World don't get nowhere near the acclaim that they deserve.

Bayonetta 2 is $35 at GameStop
http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/...yKKzjL6Byw1esw I was going to submit a price match at Amazon, but it looks like they don't even carry it? |

A new membership club called "My Nintendo" will allow people to earn monetary and physical rewards simply by purchasing, and now playing, their games. The club will launch in March 2016.

Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash sounds like kind of a disaster.
There's only one stadium, and the online options are so limited that you can't even play with friends. |
