8 bit Nintendo Game ID?
I'm trying to find the name of this old game on the first console I used to play...
Basically, you were doing a lot of running forward over this weird futuristic terrain and I think you had this gun. There were obstacles and enemies but there were a bunch of gaps you had to jump over and sometimes there were this pipes you had to jump on in the middle of these vast pits to catapult you to the other side.
I know its pretty vague but any help would be appreciated!

was it a boomerang instead of a gun? I am trying to think of games that fit that, but are not as popular (or you would remember) but Powerblade sort of fits that...

I absolutely love 3D Worldrunner. The music is definitely an "earworm." There's a website where you can play it online for free.
