A few quick questions:

1) For our pitches, do we get A+/A-, B+/B-, C+/C-, D+/D+/D- or A/A-, B/B-, C/C-, D/D/D-? There seem to be discrepancies across the teams already created.

2) Is there consensus about which stats are relevant to QBs? Presumably, anything in the first three categories is... (general, rushing, and passing -- balance depending on whether you're looking for a Tebow or a Brady). Blocking? Punt return? (It seems that all of the random QBs have a few extra points for punt returning. 4th stringers playing special teams?

1) From the third post :
Program - Your team must be 1 star prestige and may have the following recruiting pitches: 2 A's, 2 B's, 2 C's, and 3 D's. One of each of those must be a minus.
Pro Factory, Television Exposure, and Championship Contender must be the 3 D's.
Coach Prestige must be one of the two A's.

2)If your QB is returning kicks and his last name is not Vick then you are doing it wrong. In all seriousness those other stats should not be very high. Realistically your QB should not be a particularly effective blocker or return man. In the third post near the bottom there should be some info on stat limits but unrelated stats should be 40

Got that... but the question is CAN the ones that aren't minuses be pluses. I asked because r2 used pluses, shum did not.

Yeah. I've read through the stuff related to stat limits. I just noticed when editing pre-existing QBs that some of the stats such as blocking and punt return stuff were a little higher than the other stats that aren't directly related to the position. I certainly wasn't planning to make my QB into a fullback or punt returner.

Playing around yesterday and I realized that I truly suck at running a triple option offense.

Short of importing your team and starting an offline dynasty, is there any other way to use it for games against the computer? I am not wanting to play against others online.

Also, if we are all taking over the MAC, that means the majority of our games will be h2h and I'm guessing longer weeks ultimately. Is that still the plan?

The real question should be, what is our ultimate goal? Are we just proving that we can beat each other up and take a horrible school to prominence? If so, might that be more difficult then? What if we have 6 teams each in 2 conferences or 4 in 3 or 3 in 4? What's the preference here?

No. I've been swamped at work for the past 6 weeks, then had to go out of town for work. Haven't had much time for gaming or thinking about building up a team, so I just picked a pre-made one.

Once you add your team(s) through Teambuilder they will be listed in betweem Wyoming and Akron. You can play exhibition games all you want or add them into a Dynasty.

You are correct everyone will have at least 8 Head 2 head games. Weeks will be 5-7 days. Life happens - I always try and make things fit for everybody as long as you all communicate.

Well some people wanted more head to head games and I am more than happy to oblige. I wanted to try something with teams other than the usual suspects. I had also read how NCAA will allow conference prestige to change based on the ranking of the top 6 teams and thought it'd be neat to see if we can take a weak confernce and turn them into one of the big boys. Then on top of that I read about Teambuilder leagues and figured it'd be fun to make a hybrid of those four things while giving you guys a choice (limited of course) of how to play. Building a team would enable people to cater a weak team to their style of play beyond what is offered by the other 'suck' teams. The idea is to start off as those little schools that punch the big boys in the mouth and eventually become competative ( Like Oregon, TCU or Boise St.)

We'll see how things turn out and we could move to 2 conferences eventually as long as people are really interested.

Thanks for the answers. When I have tried to play against a decent team with my team it has been pretty tough so far, though admittedly that was via an offline dynasty. I'll see if I can keep up w/ a top notch school at our customary difficulty and without any slider changes.

How about we, uh, alter this conference idea a little bit. It's fun always losing and everything... but actually no it's not....

Idea:

We play in two conferences. The better half of our group can play in the MAC... while the bottom half, newbies and regular suckheads, can play in something else. Then, next season the two worst teams in the MAC drop down to the other division and the two best teams in the other division move to the MAC.

I just got torn to absolute bits by Western Michigan. 24-8 with no slider changes. The thing is, they intercept fucking everything. The DBs are jumping routes and making plays the likes of which I've never seen in NCAA. The jumping routes part doesn't piss me off so much as the fact that my receiver doesn't even try to stay in front of the defender on crosses and post patterns.

Had a lucky game against Texas as my team. If it hadn't been a home game I'm sure I would have lost. It included a 102-yd KO return TD after they had gone up 7 halfway through the 3rd. This is going to be an interesting season or 3.
