Someone from Warner once told me that their toys and trinkets are shipped literally on a slow boat from China, so if something goes wrong, it's really hard to get it fixed quickly. It does seem like this should've been addressed sooner unless they were really packaging these at the last minute. A week before release, they should have been in retailers' hands already.

So weird that Gamespot gave it the worst review. I thought they gave everything 4/5.

looks good..
So far this year has been the most solid run of high quality games in recent memory...
Dying Light--Very fun
The Order 1886---I am just joking, just making sure people read my post..game was horrible.
Resident Evil Revelations 2--Would be game of the year if not for the next game
Bloodborne--Solid game of the year..until Fallout 4, but even then It might hold on
Witcher 3--It had a few problems, but still amazing...
and now Batman...

You're crazy. Absolutely crazy. How can you put this game on such a list?? It was a short distraction from other WAY better games. Shut up.
I read your post.

Seriously, that was more of the type of half-assed campaign tacked onto what's essentially a multiplayer game. CoD and Battlefield have had better single-player campaigns, and those are mostly multiplayer games.

I should have replayed the first three games before starting the new one but didn't get around to doing so. I'm very stoked for the 23rd though! Glad to see the game appears to be solid going by the reviews. I expected it to be as the other games are all good.

I loved the first two but just couldn't get into #3. Even though it's obviously very similar, the storyline just didn't grab me. I'll be getting #4 this week as I got it free with my new video card.

So the question becomes : If the game is so great, would it be worth it to actually buy the Season Pass? (it's 10% off, or $36 at Target next week)

Goddammit. I just ordered this. I wasn't going to (I didn't think much of Asylum or City, to be honest), but the reviews were enough to push me over the edge. 20% discount at bestbuy.ca, so I paid "only" $55.99 CAD.

Also, 10% is worse than GCU...

Which is irrelevant since GCU doesn't apply to digital DLC.
You make good points though. I should wait to see what they're providing. $40 is a hell of a lot of money to ask for sight-unseen DLC.
So now I'm still stuck with trying to figure out what to send an additional $50.02 on in the PSN Store. Figure The Witcher Season Pass will be worth $25. The other $25 is still up in the air...

Plus they will most likely come out with a GOTY version with all of the DLC. Assuming you don't mind waiting for it.

Yeah, I didn't dislike Arkham Origins as much as most people, but it definitely wasn't quite as good as either Arkham Asylum or Arkham City. It mostly felt like a quick cash in title and a retread of Arkham City with a new story. The storyline was actually decent though.

Ordered the LE from Costco.comsince they still had it in stock at a slight discount. Won't get it day 1 at this point but that's ok.
So is Arkham origins worth the 9 bucks on psn?

Sure.
Gameplay wise it's weaker than Arkham City but it's got a very entertaining setting and story, narratively speaking. I regret buying it at full price upon release date. It had a lot of issues that patches had to fix. And mostly did.

Stay away from GameFAQs if you don't want to be spoiled. Some people posting there apparently already have the game, and they are posting spoilers of Arkham Knight's identity everywhere.
Also, apparently the true ending of the game requires you to get 100% completion.
Also, apparently the true ending of the game requires you to get 100% completion.
Rocksteady makes a strong push for players to see all of it, so much so that it hurts the end-game experience. Once the final story mission is complete, some semblance of closure is delivered, but specific plot points are left dangling, and the credits don’t roll like you expect them to. The player is then asked to clean up some of the side content to initiate another story sequence that brings a new ending and, at long last, the credits. Getting this ending requires a fair amount of time be spent tracking down villains and cleaning up side activities, like rescuing all of the firefighters or taking down Arkham Knight’s outposts (both of which are welcome endeavors). But that isn’t it. To see the real, real ending, you need to complete all of the side content, including every Riddler challenge – which, if you’ve done this in previous games, is a serious time commitment. Most people will probably retreat to YouTube to view the final act.

This and others mention that the tank mode feels out of place. Not that it's necessarily bad and it does add variety but that it's just at odds w/ the game.
