I had some credit on Amazon from dumping a crap load of DVDs I don't watch. So I picked it up for the $37.49 pre-order price. Will try to play some of it this weekend.

Playing Survival Instinct is like listening to a roomful of barely competent musicians, each of whom is playing a completely different song. And every once in a while one kicks you in the groin. Also, you have a sunburn.

Here's a walkthrough vid. It looks like a Dead Island ripoff, minus the RPG elements. Even the on-screen graphics and the way they highlight objects seems lifted from that game.

This game could have been awesome if they made it an open world like Fallout 3. You just wander around small abandoned towns and find ways to kill the zombies. Once I heard the campaign was only 3 hours long, my interest level bottomed out.

Rented this in the hopes that it would be one of those "bad but still fun" games. Nope, it's just painful to play in every way. I'm having to force myself to keep pushing on.

My local public library actually has this for rent... I might try it if I see it on the shelf.
I do however think that whoever is in charge of purchasing video games for the library should be fired though... They have Walking Dead but skipped gears of war judgement??
