Seems like the XL sold well for Nintendo, so yes, there are people who would want a larger version of the 3DS. I don't have a 3DS now because how small it is compared to the XL and even smaller when playing normal DS games on it. Hopefully battery life will also be improved with the 3DS XL. I'll definitely get one for the right price.
