as I was making my escape, I did muse that at least I picked the one closest to the walkers which should keep them busy while I ran away..

I'm part of that 70%. The guy I saved at least seemed like he could handle himself. The other guy seemed pretty useless once the shit hit the fan.

D'oh! Just got an email from Telltale offering the DLC for free. That's okay, it was well worth the $5 I already spent.

Finally got to finish it. I had 3 people leave, and 2 stayed.

Spoiler:
Russell and Wyatt stayed at the camp. I shot the guy accused of rape too, so I was shocked at the number.

Pretty good DLC.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I replayed it and got all 5 to go. Interesting how
Spoiler:
the alternate path in one gives extra detail regarding how one of the supporting characters from one episode became a Walker in another. Also, the key to getting Vince to join depends exclusively on who you have him shoot. That was disappointing since his reaction to one of Tavia's responses makes it seem like he agrees to go despite your shooting the "wrong" person.

I think it's just the reveal, not the release... sadly.

Oh, lol, should have figured that was the case. I loved the first game.

I wonder if it's a different team doing The Wolf Among Us, and this is a good amount farther out so they don't overlap.

Pretty reasonable since you can't play the previous 360/PS3 version. I'll probably get it just so I can play something on my $500 thing.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Hey guys--so I'm playing The Walking Dead season 1 on the PS3 for the first time. I have only completed episode 1, so no spoilers please. But I have a question:

Is there ANYTHING I can do to fix the buggy/glitchiness of this game? It's stuttering and herky jerky--how can this be? It even caused me to miss a quick time prompt (when the father asked Lee if I liked his daughter at the end of the first episode).

I'm guessing since I'm so behind on playing this game, that this has been brought up before. But I don't want to go through the thread for fear of being spoiled. So, for anyone who has the PS3 version, is there anything I can do? I did notice that when I put my disk in, it downloaded an updated version of the game. Could that be the problem? Because on Amazon, this game has flawless reviews it seems--I never would've guessed this was even a problem.

That's the Telltale Jank. It never goes away.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Just finished the game, including the DLC, and thought it was absolutely fantastic. There was a too much stuttering/glitchy areas in the game, however.

With that said, I have a question. I have a PS4 and a PS3. I played TWD on the PS3.

I plan to sell the PS3 in the coming months and just keep the PS4.

If my TWD save file is on the PS3, how do I get it onto the PS4? And even if I did, if I were to go and buy the disc (or download the episodes) for season 2 onto the PS4, would the PS4 even be able to recognize the save file? Or would season 2 not be able to read a PS3 game save on a PS4?

I do have Playstation Plus, so I believe my saves do go up to the cloud, but truthfully, I have never tried to attempt to retrieve them, so I don't know how to do that.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Episode 4 of season 2 is up and it honestly felt like filler once it was all over. Also, what decisions you had to make didn't feel like they mattered.
Spoiler:
The best example is the business with Arvo. Even though I let him keep his medicine, he accused me of stealing from him (since Jane kept his revolver).

And don't get me started by how much of a waste of time all the stuff with Sarah turned out to be.
I can't say the cliffhanger kept me excited for episode 5. I was surprised there was no teaser for the next episode.

I still need to play the new ep and I really enjoy the game (series?), but since halfway through the first season it felt to me like your decisions are pretty meaningless. It's all pretty much going to end up in the same place, even episode by episode.

I get that the overall story arc will always be the same. But it always felt like you could shape the details that lead up to it. It didn't feel like that at all during this episode.

AFAIK the saves wouldn't be compatible.

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

I just finished the Android version of The Walking Dead - Season 1 on my Nexus 9 tablet.

Wow! What an ending! That a computer game could affect me just as strongly emotionally as a good movie with a tragic ending says a lot. It was such an effective teary-eyed, lump-in-the-throat ending. To a mostly non-gamer like myself, that is an impressive achievement.

And I didn't have the glitches that I've seen reported with this game. Maybe the Android platform being so late to get it at least helped in it being after most glitches were fixed.

Now on to Season 2...

Re: The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Just finished everything in Season One this weekend on the XO. Think it probably is more stable and less glitchy than on the PS3.
Really enjoyed Season One. Very emotionally affecting - to the point that I had to take breaks for weeks at a time instead of rushing through it.
400 Days seemed kind of pointless. Didn't know who I was playing for or what outcome I wanted. The ending character especially? Narrative was interesting but the story wasn't. Maybe it'll tie into Season 2 (don't tell me, let me find out on my own).

Was excited to finally play a bit of Walking Dead Zen Pinball two years after it came out. I didn't want ANY spoilers. It's a pretty cool table and seems well designed to reflect the experience of the game.
