Re: Halo 4
The suit looks pretty cool overall. Like to see something though that makes the suit look more...metal. The "All Green" is ok but it's lacking something. Like being worn, bruised scuffed, thru battle. They tell you what it's made of and that's the problem...it looks a bit too plastic.

Re: Halo 4
Well said K&A. It definitely could use a fancy airbrush job to just punch it up a bit.

Re: Halo 4
I also find the suit lacking a bit. I think a Halo movie would be great to see but I think they really need to tweak the armor a great deal before I'd ever want to stare at Master Chief for 2 hours. I'm looking forward to seeing what this mini series has to offer but I'm certainly not super excited about it at this point.

Re: Halo 4
I do find it cool/interesting that Master Chief is rocking Oakleys.

Come on now the game is gonna be awesome! |

Isn't it a new suit? And wasn't he sleeping all this time while he was improved so why would it be worn/bruised scuffed? [Unless Cortana tried some funny stuff on the Chief while it was nap time] :)
Come on now the game is gonna be awesome! I have no issues with the game look...it's the suit in "Forward Until Dawn" trailer and close up of Master Chiefs suit. THAT'S THE ONE I have issues with. The game itself looks nothing short of sensational. |

343 Discusses Making Halo 4 the Best it Can Be and What's Next With Halo 5
Should the next Xbox - let's for the sake of argument call it the Xbox 720 - be releasing as widely rumoured in late 2013, Halo 5 is a complete no-brainer, and 343 Industries' Lead Game Designer Scott Warner has discussed the challenges of releasing Halo 4 during the tailend of the Xbox 360's lifespan and the advantages of working closely with Microsoft. In an interview with The Independent, Warner explained the challenges the studio faces in working on a console reaching the end of its life cycle, talking about Halo 4's development and harnessing the technology to get the best out of the seven year old Xbox 360. "Our current development is all centred around the Xbox 360 and trying to harness everything we can get out of that box, so everything you're seeing is sort of custom built for the 360 experience. Obviously depending on what happens and develops with our company, we'll try to develop our technology and take advantage of it." And working closely with Microsoft ensures that 343 has a headstart over its rivals for Halo 5, which will be the second chapter in the new Reclaimer Trilogy. "I mean certainly as things develop, we have the advantage of working for a publisher and first party development, and if things happen we would certainly want to take advantage of those things," said Warner. "There's always kind of a careful balancing act between what you decide to improve upon, what you have that you think is really good, what's the great mixture of that to put you in the best position to be successful as a team. But certainly as things go on in development we have an advantage in the sense that we can cross those streams a bit." Halo 4 is out on November 6th, 2012. [Via OXM] |

Halo 4 Limited Edition, DLC Pass and 'Specialisations' Detailed
Microsoft has just announced a bunch of info on Halo 4, including details of the game's Limited Edition, its DLC pass for multiplayer maps, and 'Specialisations' - the new-fangled way 343 Industries is hoping to keep you invested online. Specialisations First up is 'Specialisations,' something 343 hope will rejuvenate your multiplayer experience in Halo 4. Specialisations are classes that unlock once you hit level 50. They effectively raise the level cap by allowing continued investment in the abilities of your chosen class. There are eight Specialisations in Halo 4 in total. “As you level up through these dedicated paths, you will earn a bristling arsenal of combat-enhancing armour mods that provide even more options to customise your Spartan-IV to fit your preferred role on the battlefield,” says the blurb. “In addition, armour sets, emblems, visor colours, weapon and armour skins unique to each Specialisation distinguish your Spartan-IV from other players in Halo Infinity Multiplayer.” The Wetwork and Pioneer Specialisations are available to everyone once the game launches in November, while the remaining six are available by pre-ordering at GAME or Gamestation stores. Alternatively, you can get your hands on all eight Specialisations in Halo 4’s Limited Edition. They will also be made available for purchase from Xbox Live seperately “in the months following launch.” You can find out a little more about Specialisations on Halo Waypoint. Halo 4 Limited Edition Below you will find listed all of the contents of the Halo 4 Limited Edition. It costs £69.99 ERP. Offering a 15 per cent saving compared to purchasing each of the add-ons individually, the pack also includes the in-game exclusive items; the Spartan-IV “Scanner” and “Strider” helmets, and the “Falcon” in-game emblem. Halo 4 is out on November 6th. |
Re: Halo 4
I had to explain to my wife why I was going to take the $100 bill currently sitting in my wallet and make it an Amazon gift card to pay for my pre-order.
I just showed her the above post and she's still confused why I need to spend $100 on a video game. My answer, "But it comes with all of the DLC!" is not a good enough answer. |
Re: Halo 4
Good to see they're keeping the 3/$10 DLC model instead of switching to the 5/$15 that CoD does. Hopefully they can pump them out faster than Bungie did.

Re: Halo 4
That's a impressive Halo set. In fact I'm glad I opted for the "Borderlands 2 Limited" so tha I have the extra $$$ for this Halo 4 Limited. I think it has far more "useful" content.

 Honestly, I'd rather purchase a limited edition bundle that includes the game alongside DLC (like here or even the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3). I could care less about the physical bonus material. |
Re: Halo 4
Instead of DLC, I wish my extra scratch for the LE included a code for a full game download just to have on the hard drive.
If you want something truly limited you're better off picking up that $75 soundtrack set. |
