So out of touch. Some kids CAN discern the difference between fantasy and reality. (Shocking, I know.)

Really? That my son plays COD with me for an hour or so a couple times a week means he's plotting to take out his classmates with claymores and across-the-map headshots?
So out of touch.

What I'm saying is that you giving Deftones shit for thinking of a Kinect for his son shouldn't have really been your concern, given the fact you play games with your 8 year old for a couple of hours a week. No where did I reference fact vs fiction, so that sounds like some additional baggage of your own.
Relax. At what point did I give him shit? Was giving him some feedback as a fellow parent. No less worthwhile than this anyway:

(And as to the "baggage" jab, pretty classless, especially coming from the mod who said this forum is supposed to fun. Nothing I said in this thread was even remotely negative.)

But in all seriousness, I don't have any kids, but I do have plenty of friends with them and a couple of nephews. I introduced the Wii to a friend's son. The kid was probably 3, maybe just turned 4, at the time. Anyway, he had a blast with playing bowling and those types of games, but he was still having a lot of control issues and needed a lot of help. So, based on my experiences, I'd say he's still a bit too young at 2 to really be able to play it. Another year or so would probably be best, but you certainly know your kiddo better than we do.

I have the kinect hooked up to the xbox in my room...and I can't keep my teenagers out of my bedroom....I bet if I bought them each one for their rooms they would never play it...
