“Jak & Daxter Trilogy Edition” Rated for PlayStation 3

Same title as the article as I think it is right to the point

http://playstationlifestyle.net/2011...playstation-3/

Over the past few years, the PlayStation 3 has been home to quite a few HD collections of PlayStation 2 games, all of which are fan favorites like the God of War Collection and the recently released Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

However, there are still some first party games that Sony hasn’t released on the PS3. Jak & Daxter is one of biggest franchises yet to grace the console, and after many months of rumors and speculations, it looks like the Jak & Daxter HD collection is finally coming to PlayStation 3. Last month, Korea’s equivalent of the ESRB rated the game for an unspecified platform. Today, the USK, Germany’s videogame rating organization, has rated the game and this time the PS3 explicitly specified:

Sony and Naughty Dog have yet to make an official announcement for the game, but it is pretty much guaranteed that the game is coming.

Additionally, a release of an updated collection of games often means that another title is coming out in the future
I hope it's ok to post this as this gives hope to a new Jax and Daxter game on ps3, plus this series has a lot of fans and may make some people VERY happy.

I'm glad to see all these new sets because I never had a PS2 and it gives me a chance to play them in an improved form.

Square, it's your move. Dig out Kingdom Hearts and whatever Final Fantasy games you did for the PS2.

Re: “Jak & Daxter Trilogy Edition” Rated for PlayStation 3

I really liked the first Jak & Daxter. Was pretty cool on the second one and really liked the third one until I got to some stupid turret-manning mission that I couldn't pass and that stopped the game cold. I couldn't progress or do anything else until I passed the turret part, couldn't do it and left the game forever after that. Hopefully that's been fixed (or I hope I've gotten better at the turret aiming in the intervening years). Would love a new J & D game. Obviously, Naughty Dog has been busy this generation, but if Insomniac can put out Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One in the span of six weeks and still work on a multi-console new IP, it seems Naughty Dog could have handled a new J&D game now Uncharted is done.

Pretty sure that Final Fantasy X HD has already been announced.

I wish they'd put out a Ratchet & Clank collection.

Hell yeah! Jak II & III were two of my favorite games from that generation. I'm all over this. And yeah, now its time to bring on a Ratchet collection (although they can keep Deadlocked off it ).

It's Jak I-III (In 3D), no PSP games. Comes out late next year

Hopefully they'll make a second collection with the PSP games and Jak X.

Was Jak X any good? I never picked it up cause it just looked like a cheap knockoff of Mario Kart and a quick cash grab.

Imho, no. It was essentially a lame Mario Kart rip off with the Jak 3 engine and Jak 2 level difficulty.

Bumped to see if anyone was picking this up today. I've looked for reviews but haven't found anything yet. I've never played the series but I definitely feel like I could get into a platformer right now (if it's any good). It seems like all the attention is focused on Kingdoms of Amalur for today's releases, but I'm hoping this flew onto someone's radar.

I've read one review and so far it is good.

After reading a couple of very solid reviews, I went ahead and ordered it ahead of the inevitable price drop. I really feel like playing this during the weekend - I could use something new and fun to counteract the week I'm having. I'm hoping to at least get started tomorrow night, so I'll post my simple impressions when I can.

I liked the first one for the most part and platinumed it in a few days. I'm not sure if I like the second one after an hour or so and I absolutely despise the camera and the difficulty in adjusting it.

I remember almost breaking my controller over the camera and the insane spike in difficulty with the later missions

Definitley! Even though Jak II is one of my favorite games of all time the difficulty from the onset is retarded. I remember one mission where you are defending this swamp like area and they keep dropping of soldiers for you to defeat.....I think I ending up needing about 50 tries to pass that beyatch.

Playing Precursor Legacy. I love how it's open world but really wish they had a map like 2 and 3 did. I get lost way too easily.

The mini-games are way more frustrating than fun especially the fishing one at the beginning! Guess i had more patience when this first came out.

Finished Precursor with 100% today. Fuck! what a frustrating game, seems like I died over 50 times in each puzzle. But it's definitely a great game. loved the characters and the graphics still looked good to this day... On to part 2.
