Nice haul Goldberg. Like the Drobot Lightcore. Had to check our collection to see if we'd picked that up.

We also picked up the Lightcore Hex this year. I think its in a different position to the standard (Giants) Hex?
What does the 3DS version play like? We've got giants on the 3DS but resisted the Swapforce version - are there any special characters in the pack.

If I recall red pop fizz shipped with the 3DS Giants.

Our boy was playing Wii sports at the age of three - it was really funny. 9 now and is an absolute gamer (although we make sure that he only plays age appropriate).

Minecraft seams very popular.

I snagged the LC of Shroomboom and Drobot from Amazon for $3.99 each over the Black Friday weekend. :)

We haven't cracked open the 3DS version (will do today). It has the Volcanoc Eruptor variant in the pack.

Yeah, me too. I was a little more than pissed that I didn't get one. I didn't try everyday, but I had two legit codes that I tried over and over again (3-4 times a week) without a shred of hope. :(

They probably should have used unique codes that were INSIDE the bags. The 5 per family didn't help either.

Edit: I didn't give my daughter swap force for xmas as she already had too many gifts so I now have the 3ds and 360 version sitting in my closet. I also have all the swap force figures boxed up in the basement with all the giants / og skylanders figures she never got. My wife is going to put me on hoarders.

Hmmm... I guess I shouldn't say I won a 2nd one on New Year's Eve... I *did* do 4 entries per day *every* day the challenge was open.

I was surprised the codes were on the outside of the bag. No purchase necessary.

I still have a "Gnarly Tree Rex" Giants Wii insert set (basically the starter pack) from a Blue Wii, 360 Skylanders (first) starter, and Swap Force 3DS starter plus about 20 1st gen figures, 10 assorted from Giants, and the remainder from Swap Force that I didn't give them for Christmas (I purchased at least 1 of each available character and gave them about half).

Target has done a piss poor job of getting their "exclusive" Swap Force figures in the stores where I live. Of the 5 stores that I have contacted none of them have received a shipment of these figures before or since they were advertised. So much for getting an exclusive on something if you are not even going to have it in your stores.

I asked at my local Target, and the guy wasn't even aware they had exclusives. He did note that Skylanders are shipped to them in a random assortment (sort of a giant blind box) so they never know what they will get.

I hate the target exclusives. They need to release them in single packs instead of forcing us to get duplicates by buying a double pack. They shouldn't have used a figure that was in the 3ds or console starters...

He's not talking about the Nitro Magna Charge, he's talking about the timed exclusive Stink Bomb, etc (I think). I'm not sure how they would know they got the new ones in, they all have the same UPC (I know because they forced me to return and rebuy). I got them when I happened to be in the store the week after Christmas, but when I went back the next week they were completely wiped out of all but one or two different non exclusive ones.

Just the three new Swap Force characters (Stink Bomb, Rubble Rouser, and Spy Rise) were early releases at Target (in the 12/29 ad although they showed up in stores earlier that week). I can't find anywhere that says how long the early exclusive is supposed to be.

FYI, Target.com now has all of these listed with a release date of 1/31, although some of these are already available in stores or at TRU. Couple of adventure packs in the mix as well.

I've seen the normal one at TRU, and I don't think that's the early release.

Speaking of Legendaries, anyone else think that the black and gold really takes away from the figures? In almost all cases, I prefer the regular versions, especially on ones like Grim Creeper with clear plastic. I kinda regret getting some of the Legendary Swapping figures now.

^I thought just the LC and LLC are currently available.

We got the Legendary but I typically don't purchase LC ones unless they are *very* cool *or* on sale real cheap.

I wish they'd put only a "new" figure and an item in those battle packs and leave out the reposed ones. We typically ignore the reposes as well unless it's a formerly "hard to find" figure (like the upcoming LC Wham Shell). Camo *partly* fulfills that but I'd still rather have the choice.
