I always separate my purchases when I'm dealing with different tiers of prices. I don't trust the system to give me the maximum discount. For today's purchases I separated them into two groups: the 4 Swap Force and then the 4 regular characters. This ensures that I am getting every penny back since TRUS decided to raise their prices by a dollar per figure.

I was going to wait a bit on this one but seeing this caused me to visit Target for a Nitro Magna Charge two pack, ordered Enchanted Hoot Loop from WM, and ordered the 2 Legendaries from TRU (plus enough to get free shipping since they're doing the B1G140% off online).

As soon as I place the TRU order it occurred to me... does that 20% off store coupon have a online code? I have to order as there's no TRU close enough to make a drive worth the effort (70+ miles minimum one way).

Is this the "Magic Triple Pack" Exclusive that has "Mega Ram Spyro", "Super Gulp Pop Fizz", and "Star Strike?" If so, I'd like to know what's "exclusive" other than all 3 are packaged together as 2 of the 3 are available almost everywhere and "Star Strike" is currently available for ordering from TRU (I just bought that one there). The description mentions a "elemental bonus" by using/having 2 of the same element but that's not exclusive to WM.

Side note: The current 3 packs look to be designed to persuade people to purchase some characters for the 3rd time (or more if they've had a store exclusive and/or variant) at a slightly lower price point. I'd be more inclined to pick up a couple *if* they had 2 "new" characters and only *1* reposed character. Considering the number of new-to-the-game characters with Swap Force I'm absolutely resisting the purchase of reposed characters unless there's no choice (the Fiery Forge Battle Pack for example).

In my store visits this week I saw *no* Swap Force figures or Starter sets at WM. I did hear someone ask about the sets to be told they were "in the back - do you want one?" It seems strange that they'd not have a large display to draw attention to them. I'd gone in to see if I could just get a Enchanted Hoot Loop off the shelf rather than hassle with an order but it was not to be.

Target had *lots* of figures out. I believe I saw one of every currently available character. They had 8-10 each of the exclusive Nitro Magna Charge 2 packs. That one kind of irritated me. Other than forcing a larger $$ purchase what's the point of the 2 pack? Why not just have that character as a single? At least the register printed a $3 off coupon with the purchase.

I took a look at the Lightcore Flashwing and Lightcore Warnardo. I'm curious what on Flashwing lights up. It looks to be the wing edges but I'd really want to see those translucent wings glowing. Warnardo didn't look like there was anything *to* light up. A Amazon "reviewer" says they purchased one and it didn't light up.

My son popped them all on the test portal at Target and Warnado's shell lights up a bit and Flashwing's wings glow like you guessed. Neither really were good uses of the Lightcore gimmick in my opinion.

Yeah, I guess if you got the lightcore with all abilities, there's no reason to buy the regular one. But as it is, unless the lightcore is really cool (in most cases, it's not), I pretty much opt for the regular figure and ignore lightcore altogether.

Just ran across a Boomer, Voodude, Prism Break three pack and picked it up for $20 at Toys R Us. It's weird how these older, rare sets keep popping up recently.

At Sams, I saw several copies of the three pack of Spyro's Adventure figures (Whirlwind, Drill Sargent and Double Trouble) for $4.98 in case anyone still needs those figures.

They also have good prices on the new figures : $8.98 for the regular, $13.98 for the Swap Force figures.

I went to GS looking for the WiiU version of the Dark Edition and they didn't have any.

They checked the store avcross the way, they didn't have any either.

So they checked the warehouse... nothing.

But they have a SKU for it.

Puzzling.

As soon as I heard about the dark edition (two weeks ago), I went to GameStop.com to preorder it, even then it was not available. :(

MasterX posted on CAG that Kmart will be running B1G1 40% off on Skylander figures 10/20-10/26 (just in case you missed something this week, or didn't want to pay the TRU 'upcharge').

Who knows though if they will have anything available though. I stopped by last Sunday just to see what they had, or if anything was on sale (since we don't get an ad in the paper). One store said they hadn't got anything in yet while the other said they only had the two adventure packs.

I'm hoping to grab the Tower of Time set (for the Sky Diamond 'money cheat'), and maybe one of the other three packs.

Do you have a 360 or ps3? Those versions seem to be readily available. You could also buy it for a different system just for the figures and try to sell the portal / game .

I've got the 3DS version and we plan on getting a WiiU for Christmas... so I'm avoiding the Wii version (which I just might get anyways).

Depending on how much you want the dark edition figures, you could buy the normal wii u starter pack and get the 360 / ps3 dark edition. Take the starter pack figures and package it up with the 360 / ps3 game and portal to resell.
