So I was watching some toons with the kiddos today and realized Sprocket is almost a complete ripoff of an animated character from a 90's show:

I always thought she was a skylander version of Nina Sharp from Fringe.

The starter packs were on K-Mart.com earlier today for $19.99 for PS3 and 360. I went to my local store, and not only were the PS3 and 360 packs tagged on sale at $19.99 but so were the ones for the 3DS and Wii. I picked one up for PS3 and 3DS.

As mentioned above, as seen in the picture they are tagged as on sale and it says it goes on until the 15th but they were not ringing up at the tagged price. The manager said it was an error and they weren't actually on sale. There were a ton of people grabbing them off the shelf and checking out. The manager was editing the price for everyone but told me he was then going to remove the tags, so who knows.

If you want this, go to your local store ASAP. Just a heads up!

Thank you for the heads up about the K-Mart deal. My friend was looking to get the Spyro's Adventures game the other day now that he has Giants.

It's advertised on the K-Mart site as 19.99, so I placed an order for in store pickup.

I just gave my son a Swarm figure. It doesn't light up at all. It should, right? I'm going to try and take the figure back today.

Yes, the spike on his right hand should light up yellow, and his eyes are white. Someone else mentioned either here or Darkspyro to check them in store as the figures are usually right near a demo portal, and others have gotten giants/light cores that didn't light up.

A bit off topic but can you guys tell me some games that play like Skylanders but are more for adults? Diablo and Torchlight 1/2 come to mind. But are there any others on the 360 that are worth checking out.

What do you mean by plays like Skylanders?

At the core of this, it's kinda like Dynasty Warriors, and there are an endless number of games like that. DarkSiders is a Zelda/Portal/what-have-you clone but plays pretty similar. You could even say games like Ninja Gaiden, the latest Castlevania, and Devil May Cry have similar play mechanics.

On PS3 you have Ratchet and Clank.

Something were you level up just like Diablo.

There's a Diablo clone that I (and pretty much only I) like a bit called Dungeon Siege III for the 360. It's pretty simple but looks good, plays decently and has 2-player online co-op. I'm sure it can be found very cheaply online.

Oh yeah, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 are the same way and pretty fun games. You'll like them, even though they're older games

Each time I see this thread bumped I check to see if someone has grabbed any new characters. I guess we will not get wave 3 until after Christmas. At least it looks that way. Sigh!

Current rumor is Dec 23rd for TRU.

I had heard Dec 13th for TRU, although the 23rd would make more sense as it's a Sunday. I'll be checking Thursday anyway but don't have my hopes up.

Thanks. I returned it to TRU and got another one that seems to work fine. Didn't know they could be defective like that, and the demo portals both at TRU and Target aren't working, so I made sure we tried it at home before we opened the packaging this time. Swarm is damned hard to get out of the plastic too!

Well looks like wave 3 is the 23rd at tru.

I've been picking and choosing a few for Christmas instead of going all out like series 1. I thought I was done, but Ninjini and Hot Dog look like must buys.
