Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
If you're looking for wham-shell, check out TRU. I went there at 5AM and they had 4 or 5 wham-shell figures. People at darkspyro are saying that TRU bought a ton of wham-shell figures. It's also b1g1 free for series 1.
I also went back to walmart to look for gitd sonic boom but no one there knew where it was. The website says they have it in stock though... |

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
I saw one XBox with the green Gill Grunt on the floor (but a palette full in the back area). That was at 8:30am today. It was pretty dead, but all the CSRs were inept.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
My Wal Mart had several gitd Sonic Booms, but I couldn't pull the trigger as I thought it was ugly as hell and am trying to buy as few S2 repeats as possible. But they're definitely stocking them

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Just got this group on:
http://www.groupon.com/deals/dc-gxb-toys-r-us-november $10 for $20 at TRU that you can use starting at 5pm today (Black Friday). I got one and the wife got one, so we'll go tonight and see if we can get a couple S2 figures and giants. $40 of stuff for $20 ain't bad... considering that TRU has $5 off of 3-packs today. |

Yes, you're right. Forgot about that.
$20 for legendary stealth elf and a 3 pack after coupon. |

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Giants WiiU version (which was excluded from the earlier sales) is 49.99 on TRU.com, and eligible for the B1G1 40% off deal on select Wii/WiiU games. I finally bit and cancelled my PS3 lightning deal order from Amazon.
|
Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
I used a groupon on a 3 pack and legendary stealth elf. Although now I am wondering if the 20% off coupon works with skylanders and the groupon. If so a 3 pack would only be ~$10.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
My local TRU had no Legendary Stealth Elf figures, so I was out of luck.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
...and I cancelled that Amazon order for another copy of Giants for the Wii. But I replaced that one with a copy of Giants for the 3Ds from WalMart for ~$39. Better deal as it's 2 "new" characters (gitd Cynder and Punch Pop Fizz) and a "different" game for a different console.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Thanks for the info. Turns out that Groupon voucher is a little better than I had imagined, since it doesn't act like a $20 gift card, but rather like a coupon that takes $20 off your purchase price (i.e. no tax on that $20 merchandise). I used it and got a Legendary S2 Stealth Elf (my son's favorite figure in S1) and a three pack of Sprocket, S2 Sonic Boom and S2 Stump Smash for $10.80 total. I'll be able to return my previously purchased Sprocket for $10.80 back, so it nets me three S2 figures for an even $10. Nice.

Are you just saying that legendary stealth elf cost $10.80 and the 3 pack cost $10? |
Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Well the Legendary Stealth Elf and the Sprocket-containing three pack came to $10.80 after applying the $20 Groupon certificate ($10 + $20 - $20 coupon + tax on the remainder). Since I already had a single Sprocket I bought at full price but never opened and have the receipt, I will return it for $10.80 back. Therefor I spent $10 on a Groupon and used it to score three more figures. Follow that?

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
That's right. The Groupon for $10 not only paid for the $20 three pack, it negated the $1.60 in tax they probably should have charged. But I could see how that could mess up a return. If that's a consideration, you could always use the Groupon to buy a $20 gift card.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Just picked up a Legendary Stealth Elf and a Spyro's Adventure 3D backpack for about 23 bucks total. Actually, it was just a few more bucks out of my pocket with the 20 for 10 Groupon coupon. Thanks for the heads up! I'm somewhat disappointed that we haven't seen any new figures trickle out though. Get it done so that I can be done!

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
Also, that 3 pack of light core figures from Target never materialized either.

I think the groupon says it's not valid on gift cards. I know it doesn't work on psn / 360 cards. |

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?
You know, it seems somewhat remiss that with all of us here who actively use the internet for purchases that WalMart.com wasn't checked for the gitd Sonic Boom. I was checking on some "Tea Glasses" for my daughter-in-law, did a check to see if they had any online bargains for Giants, and found it's currently available for order online with "free site to store" delivery or just use the stock checker to see if any are in a store near you.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Skylanders...ersal/21309844 So... does everyone else have that same  moment I had? :D |
