You are partially correct. There will be a 3-pack with Lightning Rod & Zook, but the third character is Cynder.

The the final triple pack is Ignitor, Camo & Warnado.

Will Wham Shell then be a single release only? I was hoping for a 3 pack of the last 3 characters we need aside from Sunburn. This 10 bucks a character is killing me.

Amazon has the following right now (as of 4:40pm Central Time):

Double Trouble - $7.99
Chop Chop - $7.99
Drill Sergeant - $7.99
Flameslinger - $7.99

It's already been said in this thread, but I can't recommend zoolerts enough. That's how I found all of the remaining figs I had needed. Sure, sometimes I was ordering at 3 in the morning because I happened to be up and by my phone.

Voodood

Slam Bam is available but only in the Empire of Ice Adventure Pack.

The next wave (what people were looking for at TRU) should include: Zook, and Lightning Rod.

Sunburn will only be in the Dragon's Peak Adventure Pack, also supposed to be in this wave.

Ignitor, Warnado, Wham Shell, and Camo are rumored to be in the "final" wave around Easter or early Summer.

I'm not 100% on all this and much is from memory rather than research so someone correct me where I'm wrong. :)

Awesome. Thanks for the info. He had kids telling him at school for the last couple of months that they had ALL of the figures and I was telling him I didn't think they had all been released yet. This says me from having to hit stores all the time.

Hopefully I can stumble across an Empire Of Ice pack and Voodood in the future.

Again, zoolert - that's how I got both of those.

You're welcome! My grand son had kids tell him the same thing. I explained that they may have *all* of what's currently available but there was no way they had them *ALL* as they've not yet been released. I then showed him how I knew. Here's the site I've been using to track what and when:

http://1uponu.wordpress.com/2012/01/...release-dates/

So far he's been pretty accurate. While his list shows that all of them *should* now be available, I've not heard of anyone getting or seeing Ignitor, Camo, Warnado, or Wham Shell. What I find a bit disconcerting is that he shows Ignitor to be only in a 3 pack with Warnado and Camo *or* in the DS starter pack. If that's accurate it means looking for that 3-pack while holding onto singles for Warnado and Camo "just in case". Why can't Activision just make enough to satisfy the market before they release them?

Don't forget to also look for

Zook
Lightning Rod
and Sunburn in the Dragon's Peak Adventure Pack

I've not seen them here yet but as they've been reported at TRU *and* zoolert (the triple pack w/Cynder/Zook/Lightning Rod was in stock at amazon for a couple of minutes this morning and I *missed it*!! - whorders already have it listed for $116!!?!?!) the search has begun... again... :(

And I'll second (third/fourth/fifth?) that zoolert recommendation. I just used it to pick up a Stealth Elf single. That's the last one we needed until this latest wave hits local stores.

Did you get them to text you or were you just checking the item feeds? I was thinking about signing up for an alert but am always kinda wary of giving my phone # out.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

If you're going to get them all anyway, why go for the singles (except for the exclusives)? Aren't they way more expensive than the 3 packs? Or do they come with anything extra?

BobO'Link 03-22-12 04:06 PM

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

^3 packs are the way to go as there's nothing "extra" in the single packs, but 3 singles are only $4 more than the 3 pack *if* you manage to find them at stores who are not engaged in gouging. The only vendors I know of which do *not* gouge but charge MSRP ($7.99 or less) are Amazon, Hastings, Target, and WM B&M (Walmart.com charges $8.96). BB might charge MSRP in the stores but the one here seemingly never has any stock so I quit checking. I do not visit Game Stop either so I do not know if the B&M are MSRP or gouging like online. I'll purchase the singles locally when I find them and either return them if I manage to get the 3 pack they are in *or* sell them, at cost, to others who are also looking.

Spiderbite 03-22-12 04:25 PM

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Nothing extra but you kinda get what you can when you can find them, be it singles or three packs.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Check out the email Wal-Mart sent me regarding the Empire of Ice orders from back in January:

At the end of January, we reached out to let you know that a manufacturing shortage forced us to cancel your preorder(s) for the Skylanders Adventure Pack.

We know this was disappointing, so to show that we appreciate your interest in Skylanders and your choice to shop at Walmart, we've worked with our supplier to send you a free Skylanders Adventures action figure. (one figurine per affected customer)

We have sent the free action figure to the same delivery address as your original order, with no shipping charge and no purchase necessary. (Please note that this is not one of the figures from your original order.)

Your package should arrive within 10 days. You can track the delivery of your item by visiting the UPS Mail Innovations website and entering the following tracking number into their tracking system. Please allow up to 48 hours for them to include this order in their system.

Pretty much. Beggars can't be choosers.

^That's pretty cool of WM. Be sure to let us know which figure they sent.

I set up the text alerts. They came it at such random times that I never would have caught them on the website.

I just kept a Zoolerts window open at work all day.

Indeed. Especially since I canceled my order after I found it at Target.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

I just stumbled upon something interesting while looking to see what, if any, "new" singles are available at Amazon.

Cynder *is* currently available *BUT* has a different listing than the other singles:

List Price: $8.99
Price: $7.99 & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25. Details
You Save: $1.00 (11%)

Looks like the MSRP may be going up on these, or at least the "new" ones. All the others currently in stock do not have this type listing, just the $7.99 price line. Those are:
Chop Chop
Double Trouble
Drill Sergeant
Flame Slinger
Whirlwind

If that's the case *and* the 3 pack prices do not increase it'll definitely make the 3 packs the way to go whenever possible.

Have I said today that I'm sick and tired of the limited supply and extreme gouging by 3rd party sellers? If Activision can't get it together *soon* on releases for this original game I'll have serious doubt as to whether I want to put up with this fiasco *again* when "Giants" is released.

*EDIT*
Now Chop Chop has the same MSRP listing as Cynder.

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Ignitor is now available in a single pack as I saw several the other day at Toys r Us. Wham Shell, Slam Bam and Camo have not been made available yet. The Dragon's Peak Adventure Pack with Sunburn is supposed to come out on Sunday at Toys R Us according to people that work there in the game department. It is supposed to appear in the Sunday ad.

BobO'Link 03-23-12 02:51 PM

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

^That jives with what the guy on that link I posted said a couple of months ago. That Ignitor would come out as a single at the same time as the "Cynder/Lightning Rod/Zook" 3 pack. And then *later* Ignitor would be in a 3 pack with Camo and Warnado - sometime around Easter or mid Spring. He's changed his story since then so...

*EDIT*
A user post on that site now claims Activision has said Camo will be out between June 26th and July 6th along with Wham Shell and Warnado. Says the information is "straight from activision statement on the remaining 3 characters" but doesn't cite the source.

Well the email said 10 days... they added a zero on that. It showed up today. Double Trouble. What's also surprising is that it was in a bubble envelope and still in perfect condition.

Heads up! Dragon's Peak is in stock on TRU.com. $25 + shipping.

Worth it to me since gas just hit $4 and TRU is across town. $5 to not hunt it down and deal with hoarders? Sold.

Ditto! Sold!

Re: Skylanders, Anyone?

Thanks for the heads up Micheal Corvin! But WOW!!! I'd like to get one but by the time they add shipping and tax it's just over $33! I'll take my chances locally as there are no vendors selling these further than 2 miles away from my house.

I thought that the Adventure Packs were once only 20 bucks. Am I wrong?
