Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Is it hard to get into GTA online? I played it for about three hours five years ago and haven't touched it since. But all these updates look amazing.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I walked away from the game for over a year but heard of these updates a few weeks ago and decided to give it another run. It is quite fun despite Rockstar making stuff in game to tempt you to buy Shark Cards to get it, spend tons of hours to earn the money or get glitched cash.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Anyone play the new update? I quit online years ago so it's a little overwhelming all the stuff there is to do.
Love the Casino area. I've been hoping for a Casino in V forever . Spun the wheel and won $3k . Played Blackjack for a few minutes and won $600! Cashed out right after lol.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

New casino stuff looks boring. Just another DLC that adds very little and you need to spend big for literally nothing. I don't understand th mentality honestly, you spend a trillion dollars on a penthouse to walk around it, play some mini-games, and order a drink from your personal bartender zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I'm really surprised that GTAO has such a huge following that they're still getting away with adding garbage DLC to it 6 years now after it's official release!! Impressive to say the least.

Even getting the penthouse free with Twitch Prime it is still HELLA expensive to upgrade it all the way with all the cool stuff.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

The free Casino Penthouse will still suck a lot of bucks out of you. I spent like 350,000 on it to get a couple of basic things. I also don't like that you can only get 50,000 chips at a time and it takes forever for the game to allow you to buy another 50,000 in chips. I also do not like that there is not one poker table where you are playing against other players. Every single game is against the dealer. With that said, I blew 150,000 yesterday on some big hands. Oh well! I did play one casino mission with another person but the game was so damn laggy that I gave up on that after three failed tries. The bad guys that we were shooting were popping up and down and had to be killed multiple times before the finally died and disappeared. During the mission we played we killed 65 bad guys and helicopters and they still kept coming. This casino is also about 5 years too late, in my opinion. I still enjoy doing online missions with friends but loathe playing in public rooms.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

That is one of the things I hate about Rockstar games is how enemies just spawn/respawn out of nowhere. That shit is lame and outdated and one of the reasons I gave up on RDR2 so early. Rockstar really needs to evolve their game formula.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Even with the free Penthouse, I spent 600,000 extra. I bought the lounge (required to unlock the other areas), and the office. I'm disappointed in the office, as the computer is just for internet (like your phone). I was hoping I could do the CEO/Motorcycle Club/Nightclub stuff there.

I only did the first casino mission rescuing Cheng from the biker gang, with public peeps, but we were able to complete it. If anyone here wants to group on the casino missions, I'm playing on Xbox.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Rockstar has been going crazy with log in bonuses lately. In the past week alone I've earned $1.5 Mil. $500 K for each bonus .

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Is it actually giving it each time? I've seen the pop up 2 times now after logging on, but I only got the $500,000 once.

Currently doing the objectives though to try and get 10 this week for the 1,000,000 bonus.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

As someone who has racked up over $200,000,000 in game and bought everything I could... the login bonuses don't really excite me enough to bother logging in for them, lol.

It's so easy to earn cash through casino heists that you can rack up 10 million in about an hour with a group of 3 people.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Rockstar recently announced that GTA 6 is now in early development and that it will be a much more moderate sized game.

This is definitely related to Dan Houser (co-owner and used to write all of the games and was creative director) leaving the company (his Brother and other co-owner Sam Houser stayed).

I'm very curious to see what the game will be like because things are definitely going to be different.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Meh. Seven years since V was released and they're looking towards a more 'moderate' sized game? What’s wild is that they won’t have released a new GTA game this generation.

They pump too much effort into the online aspect of their games now. From a fiscal perspective it probably makes sense, but it's disappointing nonetheless.

That’s a disappointment. I love the size of GTA V and Red Dead 2

Early development? I don't believe that one bit.

Why are there 4 GTA Vs instead of 3?

They will milk that cow until powder comes out. They are probably drooling over the thoughts of another billion in shark card sales.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

I think moderate size would just be GTA III/Vice City/San Andreas sized. GTA V's world map is pretty much the size of GTA 3/VC/SA/IV combined. I can imagine doing half that size would still be pretty solid.

I'm just now finally making my way through the game (I've played it and stopped a few times) on PC.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 5 to a V

Honestly, with this new news, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if take 2 disbanded rockstar games after this....even with gta v making 595 million in 2019.

I think they will take what rockstar has done well and apply it to new games. I say this because there was a crazy announcement from take 2 that said they wanted to release 95 games in 2020 - not all of those are for the consoles and PC but a good portion are.

I'm just bummed they never went through with the story DLC they had promised/planned and had actually done a lot of work on before they scraped it.

I’m not interested in GTA online. At all. I never will be. I too wish they’d do more DLC but like it was said it’s all about the $$.

I hate gta online as well. Even when I would go on to try out missions and stuff, I’d just get randomly killed repeatedly for no reason by other assholes.
It happens in Red Dead but not nearly as much
