Re: Video game errors

Am I the only one who remembers that another character later in the game mentions Error, as in "Look for my friend Error in Whatevertown and give him this item"? I always thought it was just a bit of a joke, because you're lead to believe his name is an actual error the first time you see him, but then you find out later on that his name really is Error and it's a clever little "ah-ha!" moment. Then again, I suppose that second mention could also be a real error. The mind boggles!

Re: Video game errors

I'm more curious on why so much time passed before this thread was started! The OP is talking about Dreamcast and PS1/PS2 games! But I actually did buy a game before with no disc. NBA 2Ksomething for the Dreamcast. I was pretty sure KMart was going to call the cops on me when I tried to return it.

^^ That happened to me as well -- at Babbages back in the day. The cashier was like "oh, sorry" and went and got the disc out of a drawer. That's when I knew the rumors of the tools working there were indeed opening the games, playing them and then re-wrapping them as new.

you know this type of things happen all the time. more recently with
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare where a blank Philips DVD was mispacked into the cases one person went to return it and got accused of stealing it.

Yeah yeah. That happens to me all the time. You'd be surprised!
