That was intense. I couldn't get into the slow-mo stuff myself. I loved the stealthy approach, as it actually felt like I was accomplishing something different.

Preorder up on Amazon. As much as I'm getting tired of the remasters, $40 is a decent price point with all of the DLC. Absolutely fantastic game and one of the few games I finished in just a few days since it was hard to put down.

Haven't they already done that? Uncharted is getting a "definitive edition collection" of the first three games on PS4. Last gen there were "definitive edition collections" of trilogies as well.

I went and got the GOTY edition from the Steam sale today for like $10. I know I played it before and liked it, but I don't really remember a lot of about it. Maybe I was rushing to get through it or something, so I'm ready to revisit it now.

I have this game for the PS3 but only played about half way through. I enjoyed it, just too many other things that took up my time. I will certainly pick up this edition. The one thing i hope they address more than anything is load times between places. That sucked way too much for the PS3 version.

Do you mean between main locations/chapters, or the smaller areas within those locations? I don't recall there being long loading once starting a chapter. I gave the chapter breaks a pass because of how big of an area each one was, with so many different things going on.

I really enjoyed this game. Having different ways to solve a particular task is something I'm becoming more of a fan of. Prior to, probably Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I wasn't a big fan of stealth-based games. Deus and this one has helped push me in that direction, so now I'm looking for more like them.

So, if you were smart enough to grab Dishonored on PS+ on your PS3 when it was made available (or if you just bought it digitally whenever), you can now buy the PS4 Definitive version (digital only) for $20 on PSN. Just search for "Dishonored Upgrade" and it should show up.

There doesn't seem to be an identical deal on Xbox One. Not yet.

It's kind of a shame that someone who just randomly grabbed it on Plus gets a discount, but someone who bought it (full price) on disc, maybe even at launch, doesn't get the same discount if they want to play the new version. From a PR standpoint, seems like it could piss off some of their biggest fans.

:shrug: That's the trade-off between digital and physical. I mean, they could do the whole "you have to keep your PS3 disc in the PS4 while you play this digital game" but I don't think they should be obligated to do that, as there are ways to abuse it.

I agree with that. I'm not saying kill the whole digital bonus part of it. I was just thinking that it's one of those weird deals where the people who seem like they should be first in line for a deal (day-one buyers who really helped promote the game through word of mouth) don't get one. It seems kind of ironic that the majority of people who would get a discount would be the ones who never paid anything for the game on its own.

Oh, yeah, I totally understand what you mean. "early adopters" so to speak, kind of get the short end of the stick in these situations. I know I wouldn't have found out about the game if it wasn't for you guys here in this thread, and now I consider it one of my favourites of all time.

Ok, so "Dishonored Upgrade" is still not showing up on the site, but now the game is showing as $19.99 (earlier it showed not available because I already purchased Dishonored...)

Yeah, I see it. I'll buy the Upgrade for that price. I wonder if they do the same deal on Xbox One eventually, especially seeing as it was free for GwG as well.
Can't believe I went and grabbed it when it was a PS Plus freebie since I already had the 360 version and had no intention of playing it on a PS3. Glad I did though.
Not sure if this is part of this week's Bethesda sale or if it's good until the game launches (or longer). Not listed among the Sale items in this week's Blog post, but didn't want to risk missing out

I grabbed it on GwG, even though I already owned the physical disc. I hope they at least match the PSN deal.

Dan, are you seeing this on PSN for $20 in Canada?

When I look, it shows as $25. Not sure if that is just the currency convert.

Yeah, it's $25 in Canada. I didn't post our price since there's so few of us. :D

That said, I don't own it on PS3, so I only see the full price.

edit: Xbox One now has the same discount! $20 in US, $25 in Canada. Only if you own a digital copy. :)
