Im actually surprised with the way Sony has been pushing 3D, that the Vita will not utilize 3D.

Question: Does Sony really need a 2 hour conference every year?

Just getting caught up. So Bioshock Infinite's draw on PS3 is Move and a copy of Bioshock that can be had for $10? Yeah, those don't add up to ditching a 360 controller. Same goes for Battlefield.

I think you're right, but pricing this the same as the 3DS is a good move.

I have to agree with this. I think the price point will help, but I just think in general portable gaming doesn't lend itself to hardcore gamers. The iPhone games are so popular because of how simple they are to pick up and play.

Uncharted: Buttons, Dual analogue sticks, d-pad, front touch screen, back touch screen

Tiny Wings: Touch the screen

I know the touch controls are optional but to me if you have 2 ways to play you have none.

Well, I caught myself up and only the Uncharted Demo was entertaining. Sly 4 could be good, but I honestly only played Part 1.

While both shows were less-than-stellar, I think Microsoft wins so far. Better exclusives (2 new Halos), good system enhancements with Youtube/Bing etc, and finally some use for the Kinect.

Definitely sold on the Vita for $249. Was even considering it at $299.

I found Sony's conference to be much, much more entertaining than Microsoft's. Very little about Microsoft's presentation impressed or surprised me. Meanwhile, Sony had an impressive Uncharted 3 demo, an awesome Sly 4 trailer, the $500 3D TV bundle, Vita games, and a pretty awesome price for the Vita. No contest for me.

Do we know yet if the 3D co-op tech is proprietary? Or will that be functional for anyone else with a 3D TV? And do both players get a 3D experience, or does it use the 3D tech to give each player their own 2D screen?

Agree to disagree. Using Bing to find Marketplace content is stupid at best, money-grubbing at worst, Halo re-do was known about for months (and really no different from the oodles of PS2 remakes already out for the PS3) and Halo 4 is a long, long way off (though the trailer was cool). Can't compare to Sony showing lots of new, E3-playable games, having a new handheld introduced with many cool features and a surprisingly reasonable price for the content it provides. Plus some good exclusive bonuses on multiplatform games.

Definitely sold on a PSVita for 249. While Sony's conference wasn't too impressive, it was miles ahead of the Kinect heavy Microsoft conference.

Wow, new Sony 3d tv doing split screen gameplay full screen at the same time. Both utilizing different glasses that superimpose the images on top of one another. no one watching will be able to know what the hell is going on likely, but if you're playing then that's pretty awesome.

500 bucks for a 24" display, 1 pair of glasses and Resistance 3

Sony killed it with the Vita. Damn. I want one bad. Nintendo is going to need to respond hard.

Re: The Official E3 Expo 2011 Thread (June 6-9, 2011)

I found both Micro/Sony to be crap outside the Vita...so Sony wins with that...

I mean, Gears and Uncharted are both going to be amazing...but we already knew that...I did not need to see them play that....

Most of what made E3 great today was showing stuff that was for both platforms.....so that is a wash...(LOVED THE GRAW STUFF!!!)

Vita looks sweet though...

Cannot wait for the Nintendo conference. New consoles are always exciting.
