Some PSP titles to be remastered for PS3
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/116/1169843p1.html
I'm definitely interested in this since I never had a PSP.
Some titles I know I'd want off the top of my head are
Sony today announced a PSP Remaster series of titles that will ship on Blu-ray discs for PlayStation 3 starting first in Japan.
The games will be "customized and developed" specifically for PS3 and include additional features such as Sixaxis support, new add-on content, and/or stereoscopic 3D support. Save files will be transferable back and forth between the original PSP game and the PS3 version. Ad-hoc mode gameplay will also be supported though the "adhoc party for PlayStation Portable" application on the PS3 system but not with every title. Sony notes the application is not supported on the 20GB model (CECHB00) which does not include Wi-Fi.
In Japan, the first PSP Remaster title will be Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. from Capcom. "The graphics of the PS3 version, including monsters, fields, equipment, as well as Felyne Comrades, are more gorgeous and vibrant than ever, and will deliver dynamic gameplay when played on the large TV screens," Sony said.
No other details, such as a North American or Europe release plans, were revealed at this time. The press release notes that PSP "blockbuster games" will be remastered, so the selection will likely be limited to top-selling titles only.

Monster Hunter was the first thing that came to mind, so I'm pleased to see it's on the way.
As for Final Fantasy, Square doesn't support the home consoles much these days. Although, if high development costs are responsible for holding them back, this could be a way for them to get some games on the PS3 without having to spend the money for a full-fledged new game.
I'd like to see Hot Shots Tennis. I would prefer a proper PS3 version, but a remaster would be better than nothing.

Fanboys will shit bricks if Sony ports the PSP Final Fantasy games like the anniversary editions of 1 and 2 and the complete edition of 4 without ever remaking 7 like most people have wanted for years.

Yes, I would be all over those, I loved the first one on PS3. Also the Tatics Ogre remake might be nice. And as dumb as it may be, I'd like the MGS:Ac!d games.
I never really play anything portable and can't justify the cost of a PSP for a handfull of games, so this program is good news for me.

I'd be stoked on MGS: Peacewalker getting a PS3 remaster. I got the PSP version, and while it's a thoroughly great game with a staggering amount of dept (I'd say too in-depth for a portable game), the PSP controls made the game unplayable.

Although, I wonder if the controls will even be adapted. Will they even let you use the right analog for the PS3 edition? I would hope so, but I don't think it's guaranteed.

If they're "remastering" the graphics, I don't see why they wouldn't also take full use of the breadth of control oprions open to them on the Duashock3.

I always thought it was interesting how the PSP has been so huge in Japan and a complete dud in North America.

I'm surprised by that as well. I've always thought it odd that the DS was more popular than the PSP even though the PSP was, imo, a far superior platform than the DS.

According to French website JVN, in addition to crisp HD visuals, the updated version will be tailored for the PS3, taking full advantage of the Dual Shock's right analogue, which is of course absent on the PSP. There are as yet no details of it offering SIXAXIS support or stereoscopic 3D.
Peace Walker is expected be announced at this year's E3 in June.
