I tend to get my games thru Amazon and most of the time I can wait a few days after it's ordered and get it. However the last time I ordered a "pre-order" it took more than a week. I don't do enough to justify the Primetime bit but how much is it extra for the "Get it the day it comes out" for a game?

I'm a prime member so I'm not sure how to verify this, but I seem to remember someone mentioning that release day shipping was 99 cents.

EDIT: I just did a websearch and found an article, and I think that only applies to certain games (probably the biggest releases). Other games should be 5.99

If you have to play it now it could be well worth it, still cheaper than buying at the store if you have to have day 1 as most games on amazon are 7 to 8 less than retail (which would make up for the release-date delivery) and no tax which you would have to pay at a retailer. That is if your state doesn't have tax on amazon, if it does then retail would probably be better unless there is a credit offer.

If you spend alot on Amazon like me, Prime is a godsend. Of course, I got it for free through Amazon Mom

Love Amazon Prime. Keep in mind, if you pay for Prime, you can add other members to your subscription. I think the limit is 4 accounts. So sign-up with some family/friends and split the cost.

If it were possible, I would gladly marry Amazon Prime and proudly bear its babies inside me.

It was $0.99 for me for Portal 2 on PS3. Ordered Thursday, shipped Monday, was here Tuesday afternoon.
