That was the most awesome poker night ever.....okay, *sigh* not really. I'm in for any private games, up to 10k (preferably 5k or less though). I find it funny that I actually ended up winning the first two hands and then I dropped. Like "does not compute" "does not compute". (I usually work from smaller stacks, not jump out early like that).

Tried to get into TH a few times last night and it would either not connect, or I'd sit with a table full of bots with nothing happening and it would disconnect again. Did that patch do anything?

I got into a couple of games last with no problems and I had at least half the table with human players.

I would recommend everyone run a NAT check when they think about it.

Of course, just because your NAT is fine doesn't mean that everybody at the table is. One bad connection can create a chain reaction that ends up disconnecting everybody.

I know that. But prevention starts with you. If the GOW3 beta can tell you your NAT status during matchmaking, you'd think the dashboard could have a simple red/yellow/green light on it.

So, I am thinking of doing a poker night this Friday night. Anyone interested? Would start around 8:30-9 Central. I can "give" out some money in a private standard table to people w/ lower chip totals before I start a tourney. If you aren't on my friends list and want to play, just let me know.

I am willing to give it a shot if I'm around. Friday night just depends sometimes. Me and missus sometimes get caught up in other activities. Anywho, yeah, 1k, 5k, anything up to 10 I'm good.

In FHP other news, I got past Daisy Deuce, so all I got left is the All-Pro tourney. I'm at level 40 now, so the last three achievements will be in my grasp shortly. I'd imagine the all pro tourney and 500k (I have 264k currently) will come really close together. Shortly after that, probably level 50 :D

All-Pro gives you 500k for winning anyway.

I have all the achievements and I'm level 50. Not much fun playing now unless it's with friends. I wonder if an update will come out that raises the level cap?

Doubtful because we are still gaining XP. Patch comes and you auto-level? Pointless. Leaderboard is all you need. It'll all be Texas Heat Season achs.

HAHAHAHAHAAHA....no. :D You know what they say about a fool and his money. Well you are looking at a fool, if I start slinging it around like that. Seriously though, I want to at least get through the all pro tourney before I go all gambling with it.

If you want to build up some bank before doing the all-pro, I would suggest starting a 50K standard 6 player match w/ bots. Play conservatively and you can do very well.

Screw building up bank. If you bust out during the All-Pro, just take a 100k advance to play again. You just won't get XP for 20 hands. Big whoop.

Jut a reminder that I am still planning on setting up a tourney tonight. I hope to be online by 8:30 Central (depending on if my kids let me) to "give" away some chips to anyone who needs them and then start the tourney around 9 Central. Well, I came back from 7th place and won it. OC had some bad luck, but there were a few guys at the table that were betting oddly, so it was expected. I was glad to take out the guy that kept matching crap to stay in it.

Sorry, forgot all about the table action. Oyie, I don't even have a good excuse.

I did finally get 500k bankroll though. A 2nd place finish in the one all-pro I played (the ending was a case of zigging when I should have zagged) and some misc Heat/Tourney stuff to get me over the hump. Interesting cool moment in Heat on Saturday, but I actually got 4 of a kind. First time in that game's history I've received a hand above a full house. Two achievos left, naturally still the all-pro tourney and level 50 (currently @ 45).
