What? You don't think 7 yards on a qb sneak is reasonable for Aaron Rodgers? I may run the sneak on first down. 2nd and 3 gives me a lot of options.

Completely agree. And with sites like operationsports and the ea forums in its pocket plus zero competition, there is just no voice or incentive for Madden to change.

Robo, unrealistic linebacking play is always the first thing I check.

I don't know about the ea forums, but half the people on operation sports are ripping on the game.

Madden is like the Simpsons. Every year everyone says how it's not as good as the game/season before it, yet they still keep buying it and fail to realize that it's actually pretty good no matter what.

Ads for this game really suck. Glad I preordered from Amazon for the $20 credit (actually got a $15 credit on top of that for a price match of TRU.com $44.99 price). I remember the years when it was a given there would be a gift card deal for Madden for around $20 at every store.

Current gen football games in general. I could still play the hell out of some Tecmo Super Bowl, but I get too frustrated with the newer football games. Half the time I snap it and hit the button right away and it still isn't quick enough to get a pass off before my QB gets sacked. I just don't have the patience for it.

I got a code for 360 for pre-ordering at Best Buy. I am going to cancel my pre-order. Will anyone here use the code? I would rather it not be sold because I am not actually buying the game.

Bought it at BB today. Haven't played it yet but am looking forward to doing franchise mode this year. Even though I know there's a bug with accelerated clock.

I played a bit tonight. I'm a big 49ers fan, but decided to test out the Eagles. Vick is awesome in the game, which isn't a surprise. Extremely fast.

I haven't bought a Madden game in a few years, so I'm not sure how this online pass thing works. I finally got signed in to EA's servers. But it kept telling me something like I'm not permitted to register for the online pass. So I have no idea what that means exactly. I'm guessing their servers are getting slammed with this being out today, so hopefully that error message won't pop up again.

Anyone else get that message?

Just played one quarter of an exhibition game between Seattle and SF. The game froze before ever getting to the second quarter. Awesome.

At least they are apparently trying to make it realistic. The game killed itself because it had to watch a Seattle vs SF matchup.

And considering how badly I was playing the epic battle between these two superpowers, it's entirely possible that the crash was some sort of mercy kill. Nonetheless, I did make it through a full game on my second try. I look forward to playing this quite a bit for the next week (until I get Rugby World Cup 2011 next Tuesday).
