I'll almost certainly be on later, even if for just a couple of games. When were you thinking you might be on?

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

You were clearly loving the shotgun attachment. Gotta admit it was pretty funny when dudes were coming in various doors at Delta and trying to shoot me only to get blown away by your shotty attachment. I said something like "Why don't I just be a decoy, and you can blow the shit out of dudes?"

I was on a roll by the end of the night tonight...last game was 33 and 13 with the Ace pin by over 1000 points. That SAW is a badass gun!

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Five Great Things From BFBC2 Tonight:
1. Spent time with cool guys.
2. Ranked up to Level 15.
3. Knifed someone through the door.
4. Knifed several Level 50 enemies.
5. Nabbed my first Ace pin (by 66 points - sorry, murray!).

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

<-- Knifed an entire squad (I assume) of four on Harvest Day. Ding saw the whole thing and said something like "Damn Friz!" I was just happy to have a witness.

The other highlight was earlier in the night on Heavy Metal. I think it was Lee, OG, Patronius and me just holding Charlie down on foot while being constantly bombarded by choppers and tanks. I'd finally had enough and decided to spawn as an engineer. Carl Gustaved this obnoxious attack chopper on the first shot. [Insert colorful language with exclamation point here]

I looked at the scoreboard with about 3 or 4 minutes to go, saw I was up by about 200 or so and thought "I got this!" We were seriously rolling that map as a squad, though, really good times.

You were seriously dominating that round! I think I was 2nd or 3rd that round and I wasn't even close. I don't remember what that last map is called, but we (DVDTalk dudes) always seem to do pretty well as a squad on that one.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

So I'm driving that tank around during that map (the last one for which I was present)... we're making that comeback and whatnot. I'm on a serious roll that map... by far the best one all night for me. Kill some dudes at Charlie roll back to Alpha repeat twice or so. I drop down in this ditch and a dunebuggy appears right in front of me. I shell him but miss and collide as I roll up the far side of a ditch. The dunebuggy goes flying into the air, suddenly the ground disappears on my screen and all I see is blue sky and that lofted dunebuggy who looks like he's headed to the moon... and then freeze frame.

MOTHERFUCKER.

That's when I signed off for the night. That was the third time the game glitched on me in a couple of hours. I'd probably acquired more pins that map than the entire rest of the night.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Dude. I had the best and worst game I've ever had tonight.

What made it the worst?

Ugh, my squad didn't work together whatsoever. Two were campers who wouldn't leave any of the objectives I would take and who couldn't hold one at all; they didn't have microphones and never went to any of the objectives I marked. The other turned his microphone on halfway through the game so we could all have the pleasure of his singing along with Freebird. When I asked him to turn it down, he turned it up and sung louder. Swore at me, too. At a certain point, I had an odd revenge: he kept getting mowed down when I had perfect cover. I revived him five times in a row and watched him get mowed down again and again.

What made it the best?

This is a list of everything I earned during that one game:
- Combat Efficiency Pin
- Melee Efficiency Pin
- Light Machine Gun Efficiency Pin
- Medical Ops Pin
- Savior Pin
- Payback Pin
- Squad Member Pin
- Conquest Winner Pin
- Flat Attacker Pin
- Marksman Pin
- Kill Assists Pin
- Gold Squad Pin (Don't ask me how that happened!)
- Elite Battlefield Knowledge (5000 points)
- Conquest Good Conduct (5000 points)
- Gold Star rated on the M249 SAW (5000 points)
- Four Dog Tags
- Ranked up to Level 16 and unlocked 12-gauge shotgun shells
- Over 21,000 earned in that one game!

Man, that felt good.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

The stars must be aligned for me today. I've been playing great all day today. Have had no problem at all mowing m'fers down and knifing the hell outta dudes. In one round I got GoldSquad, Melee pin, Gold star on the XM8, Gold star on the Grenade and 7 dogtags. I was 100 points shy of the Ace Pin. I went 18 and 10, which is pretty good for my dying ass.

I need to quit getting so frustrated as I play worse when that happens. DAMMIT! LOL

I played one round of Onslaught with Eggo on Hardcore. They won, but I bailed after that because the entire game was spent in a tank.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

Sounds like a couple of rounds I had on Friday night. I ended up something like 17-12 one match with 8 tags (my personal record for one match by far.) Ended my night with my 2nd knife gold star. I'm pretty balanced with my number of kills per weapon as my knife is currently #1 with 101 kills, followed by the xm8 with 100.

I'm probably going to buy all the unlockables from PSN before Friday. I only play with you guys, so it's taking forever to level up.

It's the class you're playing. The only wookies who score well are bush wookies who get kill streaks.

Playing medic, assault or engineer, and playing them properly will net you tons of points.

Leveled up to 17 and oh, so many dog tags. That's such a delicious feature.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

I had pretty good times playing with KTown, Alfredo and a friend of his (who was a BEAST) until we ran the other team off...some of the closest games I've been in. Saw we had at least 6-8 others in the game as well.

Vong sniped me once on Heavy Metal...seemed pleased with himself...he did his little teabag dance right there on the hill.

Patronius got my tags but I already had a couple sets of his.

Re: Battlefield Talk (PS3)

LOL so we had a bunch of guys on last night and when Murray got on he was placed on the other side. I made it a point to get his tags, so every wookie I saw on the other side I snuck up and knifed. At one point I saw a wookie, crept up and knifed him, and as I waited for the tag to display with the name, I was knifed in the back by Murray! Weak lol. I got him back later that match but it was hilarious. Good times.
