- THE PARTICULARS -

• What: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 & Battlefield 3
• Where: PS3
• When: Every Friday night (no particular time) and at least a couple of us virtually every night
• Why: Because Battlefield is epic warfare, and these guys are hilarious
• How: Start by sending a few of the regulars (listed below) friend invites and join their games

- FRIENDLY ADVICE -

• Team play is a must (solo stuff that works in CoD will hurt your team)
• Communicate constantly (headset highly recommended).
• Focus on objectives not kills (when you take an objective, kills will come to you)
• Learn to spot and do it often (highlight enemies for your team)
• If your squad gets killed, and you're in a good spot, chill for a sec so they can spawn on you

- PLATOONS and CLANS -
Search for the DVDTalk Platoon on Battlelog and send the admins a request to join. The clan tag is "Chew" in honor of Matt "Chew" Langdon, a DVDTalker, Warhawk player, and friend who passed away on March 10, 2011.

Some of us are also members of the "MOB" clan (Masters of Baggin'). Anyone is allowed to join this clan and check out the MOB Clan Forum or join the MOB Platoon on Battlelog. Unlike a lot of the FPS clans out there who have rules on practice attendance, clan match stats, etc., the only rule for the MOB is you're fun to play with.

- STATS -

Like with BFBC2, we're using stats graphics from the P-Stats network. If you don't see your stats graphic here and you've been playing BF3, please send me a PM and I'll add you.

Stats are listed in our group's ranking order. I'll update it (as I'm able) whenever someone moves up in rank so we can celebrate our achievements. Click the pic for detailed player stats.

Good times tonight...just played for a couple of hours.

Squad was some variety of Ktown, Hunter, Shumway, Vong and me.

I leveled virtually every building in Arica Harbor in my last game...super douchey!

I ended up playing late into the night. At least I unlocked the Carl Gustav before quitting. Ended up on a squad of n00bs like myself against a veteran team. We lost but I knifed a few 5 star generals. :D

To be fair, you were warned...and you probably deserved it! ;)

For future reference, if you see a building full of C4, you probably shouldn't go in. The next time I play that map, I'm going to take out the building across the street from Bravo and then set up the one above it for squad killing.

I did take out a whole squad last night at Charlie, and it was fucking awesome!

What's squad killing?

Team kills are when you accidentally kill one of your teammates, yes? Any ramifications, positive or negative, for this in BBC2? What about Warhawk (this thread deserves a little Warhawk chat given how much BBC2 was in the Warhawk thread).

I hope to be on after 9:00pm CST or so on Friday night. How late do people expect to go this week?

Squad killing is when an entire squad of 4 runs into a building you've just planted C4 in, and you splode every last one of those dirty sumbitches.

Minus 100 points, but you can get 50-80 of those back if you're a medic and revive them.

Team kills are difficult in non-hardened since there's no team damage. Pretty much the only way to do it is to collapse a building on somebody.

Negative points in Warhawk vary depending on the mode, but in our game, points are meaningless except for bragging rights.

I'm usually on till at least Midnight or 1PM on Fridays.

You can also team-kill on non-hardened if you commit suicide by driving a vehicle out-of-bounds with dumb teammates still along for the ride.

I know another way to kill a team mate in non-hardened. I did it last night. I was with a squad of bush wookies that just wanted to sit on the little island behind the map and randomly shoot. I spawned on one since he did nothing to get killed and started shooting from his position to attract attention. He started to run away as I kept shooting at him.....sure enough he got picked off while I hid behind a tree, swam back to shore and took out the wookie that shot him...

I need to practice more using C4. I've been experimenting with other gadgets. Found out if you're and engineer and use your "tool" on an enemy tank it blows it up. hehe.

Had a few highlights:
- My first defib.
- Knifing two dudes, side-by-side.
- Winning a tank duel.
- Moving up a rank.
- Yaw's generosity in helping Zoltac rack up 13 knife kills for a new record. So cool of you, man.

FYI. That was me and not Yaw. Not that I'm proud of it, but what the hell. We won the match so Zoltac can suck it. LOL

I moved up to lvl 16 and unlocked 12 gauge slugs. Maybe I'll get the chance to put one between Zoltac's eyes. :D

12 ga slugs are awesome. With the 870 or SPAS-12, you can literally snipe dudes at ridiculous range. It's just a little odd getting used to the crosshairs instead of the sights.
