No, I was wrong. Diecast, ogsoley/excom101 and I were in a match and we ruled. Took out so many defenders. I bronze starred a weapon and got over ten dog tags. Same booting happened and nothing was there. We weren't happy.

Close to bronze starring all of the medic, engineer, and all kit weapons. Almost time to move on to assault and recon for the first time. Also earned my 5000th kill and dogowar finally returned from his month in New Zealand to fly me around in a chopper to earn my first air vehicle kill pin.

What do you guys think about people who make short films out of video game footage? This one is pretty cool:

Check out the "making of" shots at the end, particularly the bloopers when they tried to fly the boat into the chopper, resulting in the craziest glitch I've ever seen - the Ghost Boat!

f*$k this game. I played tonight, the first 2 maps we got crushed with tons of spawn camping, then we joined spatula's game of rush. I was playing as a medic, and finally got the hang of it. I was racking up the points and with 10 kills to go, we get booted (no points).

dog tags bitch!!!!

Damn, R2, btn this, FB, your phone call, and while we were playing last night, I'm just wondering one thing... When are you going to erect the billboard and how much is it going to cost?

I know you're really excited, but, there is such a thing as too far... Methinks you owe Nic more than a couple of beers over this one, holy hell.

No such thing as too far...I cant afford a billboard, but I have considered just posting a sign in front of his house.

Something classy and elegant like this:

If I had taken nic's dogtags, I like to think I'd be classy enough to not gloat about it.

But I would maybe laugh maniacally and give at least one Chew-style "NOMNOMNOM"...and maybe a "YOINK", but I'd leave it at that.

I do not now, nor have I ever, implied that i was classy in any way.
Anyone who has spent 5 minutes in game with me is aware of that...NOMNOMNOM... :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume: :consume:

I bet many of the people that read this thread actually recognize Classy Freddie Blassie without looking at the url.

Has anyone heard about the First Person Saviors BFBC2 event this weekend to raise donations toward ending hunger in Somalia?

http://firstpersonsaviors.org/

It looks cool and I'll probably play this weekend, though I'm having difficulty figuring out a) how playing the game raises money, b) how to donate money, and c) who I'm donating to and how much will make it to actual food.

Do we have any interest in doing this as a group if we can find answers to my above questions?

Looks to me like it's for players on PCs based on all of the talk of dedicated servers, etc.

re: Battlefield Talk

Donate money to the charity and when they reach milestones of donations they will give away prizes from the sponsors over the weekend. On the PC there will be dedicated servers and mainly on the 360 there will be machinima celebrities who will host lobbies and they will stream the gameplay live. PS3 gets the short end of the stick but you would have to follow there guys twitters to find lobbies. They just ask to roll with the clan tag SPH - I think - to show support.

I've been using a couple Android apps the last few days that you might find interesting:

PS3 Friends lets you know who's online without having to turn on your PS3 or slog through the ridiculous PSN website. Good for when you don't want to play with randoms.

BFBC2 Stats lets you check out your and your friends' stats on the go using the same website we use in this thread for tracking stats.

re: Battlefield Talk

Maybe I'm a little overly paranoid, but, I don't feel too trusting of a PS3/PSN Friends type app since I would have to, obviously, enter my login credentials.

Easily solved by never ever giving them your credit card info again.

Will you guys please go to the EA Insider Deals Facebook page and "like" the BFBC2 65% off deal today by 5:00pm PDT so my buddy Barry will finally buy it on the cheap? Tell your other friends and maybe we can gain a few more players to the fold.

Thanks:

Done, though they always reach the likes milestone for BFBC2.

*sigh* The deal went through but it's for PC only and it's not even ultimate edition so there's additional stuff to download. Bummer. Thanks, everyone. Maybe next time.
