Any chance we'll see a Game Of The Year edition?

A complete edition, I think that's a good possibility. I'm actually hoping so. This one is sitting in my pile of shame and I much prefer that I get a complete edition of some sort and just sell back the original one. But I am a sucker for DLC on disc

Which I prefer if they were going to be asking half the retail price for this DLC. The next game is slated to release next year. I can wait.

It would seem to make more financial sense for THQ to release the expansion than to include it in Saint's Row 4. Better to recoup some of the development cost that went into the engine and systems by releasing more content in a slightly longer form than the usual dlc.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Really love this game. It's my first Saints Row experience ever and it's been a blast so far.

I just met
Spoiler:
Burt Reynolds (and chose him as a homie over the zombies)
and loved how my character is such a fangirl of his. That said, I'm guessing I don't have far to go before the main story is over. I've even completed all the DLC missions except for the GenkiBowl. Is there a Game+ option once I finish?

Re: Saints Row: The Third

I don't think there is. You can keep messing around in the open world if you want, but I don't think there's way to start over the story missions without just starting a new game from scratch.

I really enjoyed this game too. Some people think it's too far over the top, but I thought it was great. Murderbrawl is my favorite mission, but I don't think you're there yet, so I won't spoil anything.

I think that mission is on my list already.
Spoiler:
Is it after you get Angel's mask from the casino?

I think so. It's near the end, it involves a wrestling show.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Cool. I'll be looking forward to it.

It's funny that it wasn't until well into the game that it dawned on me that Hulk Hogan is the voice of Angel de la Muerte.

Speaking of voice actors, though I've grown to dislike her less (and she's nowhere near as bad as Jessica Chobot in ME3), Sasha Grey is pretty pitiful as Viola.
Spoiler:
I wish Killbane had broken her neck instead of her sister's. At least the VA for the sister could act.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

I thought you could still do the last mission and choose the other "alt ending"??? I never did. I lost interest and didn't even d/l all the DLC I paid upfront for

Yeah. There is that. You can repeat the last mission to do the alternate ending. I personally thought "STAG Film" was a much stronger ending than "Gangstas in Space"

Gangstas in Space sucked. Monotonous and dumb.

Murderbrawl was fun but way too short.

Yeah, it was short, I just loved the ridiculousness of chopping down luchadors with a chainsaw while "You're the Best Around" plays.

Yeah, that was fantastic. And the actual fight against Killbane was fun as well. I chose to
Spoiler:
remove his mask because I thought it was a perfect fuckyou to him. However, I wonder if I missed out on a cool bonus because of that.

They should have added a ladder match and other wrestling events to this game.

I took off the mask too. The Apoca-fist that you get for letting him keep his mask is a pair of oversized fists that make people explode when you punch them. The Mask has a cool bonus feature too though, try taunting someone while wearing it. Also, the mask is a better choice, because the apoca-fist can be obtained with the cheat "giveapoca" entered on your phone.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Finally shinished it last night. Fun game overall but I wish I could explore a lot of the buildings you see throughout.

I chose the
Spoiler:
Save Shaundi
ending. Mainly for
Spoiler:
Burt Reynolds
but also because I didn't connect with Killbane as a villain.
Spoiler:
Yes, he interrupted Johnny's funeral by blowing up the bridge but he had nothing to do with his death. I would have felt differently if I hadn't already killed the Belgian (the man responsible for Johnny Gat's death) really early in the game and the scenario had been that Killbane was protecting him instead.
The ending was also really awkward. And I'm not talking about the bonus mission but rather the scene prior. It's as if they didn't even know how to end it.

Still, I look forward to Saints Row 4 and need to get Saints Row 2 from Steam. Shame the first game is not available on PC.
