I'm debating selling my Vita. I barely ever touch it these days.
Or maybe not, Best Buy just offered me $10 for it!

I'll give you 20!
The trade in value on stuff is a joke anymore. It's like most places just pick a number out of the air and "here you go, it's worth this much".

I've heard that the remote play stuff is terrible unless you've physically wired in, and even then it's hit or miss. Anyone try this on wireless with success?

With the Vita? Worked fine for me when the Vita is in the same house even if not wired in (haven't tried in months), I would assume the PSTV is same.

Works passably if both are on Wifi, but I highly recommend that you at least have the PS4 hardwired.

So I was looking for a card for my PS TV... I didn't know they released a 64gb version (though not in the US). That was my main complaint about this system, that they want you to buy stuff digitally but their memory cards are so small. Not that I relish spending another 90 bucks, but at least there's an option.

Awesome. I just got my bigger memory card and have been loading it up.
On a side note, I can't believe they STILL don't have an option to sort through stuff you downloaded before. you can't even filter out the non-vita compatible stuff, it's just a long, unsorted list of everything you ever downloaded from PSN; and then when you choose one to download, it goes back to the top of the list.

I can't believe they STILL don't have PS3-level compatibility between the PS4 and the Vita. You can't buy Vita games on a PS4 PSN store, can't back up a Vita onto a PS4 despite the fact that the PS4 was designed after the Vita and has a bigger HDD standard.

Urban Trial Freestyle for 70 cents? (90% off) Sure, why the fuck not. Looks like a Trials rip off, so it should be entertaining enough.

I would please. I can reciprocate with a PS4 pro code for Fish Tales on Pinball Arcade or a code for Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition for PS3.

Well thank you so much. Did you already have that game or do you just not like it?

I've been sitting on my BL2 Vita code wondering if I should sell or keep it. How does it play on the Vita? Is it just serviceable or is it a fairly good experience?

I think it is pretty good, but I'm not that crazy about FPS on vita just because the sticks aren't nearly as comfortable as on a regular controller.

One of life's great little joys is getting a Vita game you weren't expecting for free thanks to Cross-Buy.
Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype Landing on PS Vita March 17th
+ Posted by Marcus Pukropski on Mar 16, 2015 // CEO, SideQuest Studios
Hi everybody! This is Marcus from SideQuest Studios with some good news for PS Vita fans and shmup lovers! I’m excited to announce that we are launching an updated version of Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype along with the “The Last Chapter” expansion for Vita and PlayStation TV tomorrow. For those of you unfamiliar with the Söldner-X 2 series hopefully this trailer will get you up to speed.
<iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B0Ki7YexAbQ?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
While some of you are eager to face the challenge, others might be worried that Söldner-X 2 is one of those insanely difficult bullet hell shooters. We love shmups and wanted to make the genre a little more accessible to new players.
Söldner-X 2 includes a unique feature we call the Play Rank System, which automatically adjusts the game’s difficulty level while you are playing. This even occurs mid-level so inexperienced players are likely to encounter less enemies, fewer bullets and take less damage. On the other hand, when your skills improve the game will become more challenging to match your ability and reward you with much higher scores.
Speaking of high scores, every run can be uploaded to our servers meaning that replay files from other players are available to be downloaded and played back on your PS Vita. That way instead of wondering “How did they get such a high score!?” you can now watch their run and find out.

To make things more exciting for existing fans, (And a bit fairer on new players!), the PS Vita version will have a completely fresh high score table and added tracking for additional stats. Ever wanted to know how many total enemies have been killed or see a detailed breakdown of your friends’ activity? Head over to www.soldner-x.com/sx2/ and check it out. There is still an active battle for high scores on the PS3 version so we’re really excited to see who will rise to the top of the leaderboards!
We put a lot of effort into making Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype look as great on PS Vita as it did on PS3, and we worked really hard to ensure the game runs at a constant 60 frames per second without compromise. Even with hundreds of bullets and enemies on screen, you will be able to enjoy the game without any slowdown. We also want to say a big thank you to the guys over at PlayStation for their support during our tricky engine optimizations.

The game will be available tomorrow for $9.99 with the DLC priced at $4.99. You can also pick both up in one bundle for $12.99. Söldner-X 2 is cross buy, meaning that if you already own the game on PS3, you can download it for free for PS Vita and PlayStation TV.

Re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread

At Unite Tokyo 2015, it was announced that the 3.50 update for the Vita will release (released, past tense?) 30% (!!!) more RAM. Reportedly a ton of the RAM was reserved for social features that never actually made it to market. We don't know yet what it's 30% of, exactly: the portion addressable by games or the total amount of RAM in the system.

Re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread
Nice memory boost. Not that it will really matter. The Vita at this point is basically just a Steamboy for indie games. And it's fucking awesome in that capacity.
It seemed like they were pretty conservative with the OS RAM allocation on PS4 as well...something like 3 to 3.5 GB.

I stopped by Target earlier and all of their Vita stuff is on clearance
They were out of systems (so I'm not sure if that is part part of the clearance or not), and the remaining games they had were between $5 - $12.
Best Buy has been similar lately too, haven't seen any restock of Vita games. And the ones they had left were also on clearance.
There is always Amazon and the PS Store, but if physical stores are no longer carrying the software, it's not a good sign for the life of the platform.

And if stores don't have the hardware, there's no real reason to carry the software. Hell, most Vita games aren't released in physical form as it is. MLB 15 is download only for example. I've bought one physical game (Tearaway), though that's mostly because I have so many free games through plus that I don't actually need to buy games (I've bought 0 digital games).
I'd say the fact that services and programs are being phased out and completely killed off is a bigger sign that the Vita is in trouble. The YouTube app being killed off, all the location data being eliminated along with the Maps app. And it doesn't seem like there's any new apps coming.
