Anyone play ACIII for the Vita yet (Liberation)? I'm wondering if it's worth picking up. I'm not touching the main game yet because, well, it's Ubisoft and I can wait a couple of weeks to get it on clearance.

I've been reading reviews today (posted a few links in the AC3 thread) and it doesn't look very promising. Looks to have a lot of frame rate issues. But considering how much I'm enjoying AC3 so far, I may have to pick it up.

Mine came today. I'll be trying it later and will post impressions.

LBP Vita is amazing. I have played the PS3 versions, and while I always enjoyed them the vita seems perfect for these games.

Looking forward to Persona 4 Golden. I hadn't really cared about the pre-order bonus (which shockingly comes with even New Egg copies), but seeing it in action -- it's pretty cool.

yeah I was able to get in on the 10 off coupon a weak ago at newegg so I got this coming at 29.99...my vita is a fingerprint magnet, so this will actually come in handy...

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I hated the game. It's slow and boring. Clunky and frustrating. I decided to cut my losses so I traded it in at Best Buy for $25.20 tonight -- essentially took a $5 loss on the purchase before others found out how disappointing it was and started trading it back and forcing the TIV down. Like many PSP games, it's just a poor port of a console game with too many sacrifices made - in this case in controls and frame rate.

how far did you get into it? I only played around a bit but my god the frame rate hurts the eyes....it would have been so much better to cut something else and at least keep that it at 20fps or better

Any word or reviews for Call of Duty?

PSN Plus to hit the Vita on the 19th (20th in EU). Looks like Uncharted will be one of the first free game options. I'm glad I've held out from buying it.

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/11/13/ps...n-november-19/

PlayStation Plus will be available on Vita on November 19, Sony announced today. The Vita PS Plus rollout will include access to an Instant Game Collection, a series of AAA titles available for download via the PlayStation Store. The Instant Game Collection will be accessible on November 20, when the PlayStation Store publishes.

Plus members will receive six games for the Vita: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Jet Set Radio, Wipeout 2048, Gravity Rush, Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack! and PSP's Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.

Plus costs $18 for three months or $50 for a year, and those with a PS3 Plus membership automatically can use that on Vita, and vice versa. Plus also provides 1GB of cloud storage on PS3 and 1GB of cloud storage on the Vita.

Wow, great deal. I already own all those except Jet Set Radio. :( I was hoping for Escape Plan.
Gravity Rush is an amazing game.

I have some issues with the PS3 and Vita, but they've been knocking it out of the park with the PS+ stuff for quite a while now. I already have a physical copy of Uncharted: Golden Abyss and downloaded copies of Gravity Rush and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, but it's an impressive lineup no matter how you look at it. Guess I'll trade in my copy of Uncharted and put the money toward a bigger Vita memory card. My 8GB card filled up pretty quick.

I think Uncharted is something insane like 5GB. It might not even be worth trading it in considering how much space it takes up. But yeah, what an impressive line-up. I got Uncharted and Wipeout 2048 at launch and they're both great games.

Woohoo! Only had Uncharted from launch, and I'd intentionally held off buying stuff knowing that these free games would be coming. Good start!

I own Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Gravity Rush, and of course just bought Tales from Space last month when it was on sale. Like Decker I was hoping for Escape Plan, I bought both of the DLC packs when they were cheap, but haven't grabbed the game yet.

Now to decide on trading them in or holding onto the physical copies. Currently they would only bring $33.60 at BB, and $38.05 at GS.

Decker 11-13-12 03:15 PM

re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread

I'm leaning towards trading Gravity Rush for $21. That's essentially what I paid for it. But getting $6 for Uncharted? I'd rather keep those 5GB of memory card space for that little.

Anyone know if I need a Vita to "purchase" these, or can I "purchase", but not download them, on my PS3 so they're in my download history if and when I do get a Vita?

As long as you have plus, you can "purchase" them through your PS3 and then have them ready for when you get your Vita.

Decker 11-13-12 04:45 PM

re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread

I assume you don't need to be online to play these games on the Vita, but I'm not exactly sure how that would work to confirm your Plus membership is still active.

BTW: There's a CoD Black Ops Vita bundle that will be $199 everywhere on Black Friday. If you have PS Plus but don't have a Vita yet, there's really no reason on Earth to not jump on that bundle now, you lucky bastards.

Awesome! Looking forward to more free games. I don't own any of those, was just waiting to see what would be offered through Plus before I purchased a lot of Vita games.

Apparently the Vita had another record low week in Japan.

While 3DS sales jumped from 94,000 units the previous week to 187,000, Vita sales fell from close to 5,000 to 4,000, a new record low for the handheld.

I would...if I actually had maybe 50 gigs or so of storage...Decker warned me.
