Hmmm...looks like there was a patch released for The Orange Box in March 2008, but that was a full 9 months before I had the game and there's no way I wouldn't have downloaded the patch. Weird. Can't find any info on whether the patch supposedly fixed the frame rate issues in the single player games.

I can't help you there. I pretty much exclusively play TF2. I think I may have given Half-life and Portal a shot for about 10 minutes each. I'm sure they're fine games, but I couldn't get into them with TF2 sitting there calling my name.

Get Flower and Flow both are very calm. I would also pick up Mass Effect 2 and if you like RPG's Dragon Age. Have fun

Orange Box is actually kind of tough to find since it's out of production.

I played it after the patch and it hung up in one spot in HL2 and occasionally gets framey, but it's perfectly playable. Hoping we'll see those games on PS3 Steam down the road, as I'd love to play TF2 with the Warhawk crowd.
