I disagree with Fable 3, but I'm good with the rest. Yes, Fable 3 was not quite as good as its predecessor. But it is still a really good game, I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I have noticed that people always hate on the Fable series in general but that's thanks to the human hype machine Molyneiux. But on its own merits, it's a fun and interesting game. It's a shame that people would rather dog it instead.

sad to see Alan Wake was an dishonorable mention, but seemed only because the reviewer had a bad moment in the game.

How does NBA Elite not make that list? You go from a new studio making EA's NBA game from the ground up and including a free copy of NBA Jam to boot to killing the game and selling NBA Jam as a stand-alone for almost the same price. If that isn't disapointing, I don't know what is.
Not sure they defend putting GT5 so high on that list. Basically their point is that it wasn't worth the wait. Maybe so, but a very good game that's completely playable doesn't deserve a spot that high on the list.
And it's a little too easy to just name sequels which is all they did, save for the two motion sensors. There were plenty of disappointing non-sequels like Dark Void and Singularity. They should have mixed a few of them in.

Remove Kinect because it works great and has potential, add Call of Duty because of how horrible it is.
Move Crackdown to #1 and possibly Remove Kane and Lynch (Like we thought it would actually be good?) and add Dead Rising 2.
The rest is fine.

Elite was the first thing I thought of as well. Scrapping an entire game like that has to make the list. I disagree with putting Kinect and Move on there too... I think they came out doing about what most people expected; Kinect could have been a colossal bomb, and the fact that it wasn't is actually surprising to me.
I don't see how Call of Duty should make the list. It's extremely well reviewed and i'm having fun with it. Personal disappointments shouldn't overshadow what the rest of the general reception to a game is. Same with Alan Wake; it didn't sell well so it was a disappointment in that case, but I got the impression that for the most part the game was well liked.

Re: IGN's Top Ten Gaming Disappointments of 2010
I agree with most of the list. I was kind of surprised to see Lost Planet 2 and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days on there. Neither one of the first games in those series were any good, why would the 2nd ones be that much better?
I hate to see Fable III and Medal of Honor on there because I had so much fun playing them, but the length on both those merit their places on that list.
So was the latest Final Fantasy really that bad? I haven't played one since FFX but I've found even the weaker FF's in the series still are pretty solid games.

I quite liked FF XIII. Honestly, I enjoyed it much more than XII and even X. The AI of your teammates is quite good. Customization of your character is nearly endless and fairly easy to do. I have not been a fan of the FF series since 6(3) so my expectations have been high and this one surprised me.
Other games on that list seem to be consistent with my opinions and the opinions of my gamer friends. However, I'm not sure they can list Kinect or Move as neither have had much time to prove themselves. On a side note, I will pick up both if I can find them cheap.

Crappy list. While I like the Kinect better than the Move, both are fun. FFXIII wasn't as bad as people say. I enjoyed it. Fable III was better than part II, and Crackdown 2 was decent as well.
They gave a few games on that list high scores yet they are disappointments? Lame, IGN.

I agree with the list for the most part. FFXIII wasn't as disappointing as IGN says it is but I'm OK with it being on the list. The Kinect and Playsation Move are a complete waste of money and definitely deserve to be on that list. That may change in the future depending on the software but right now its not worth the purchase, imo.

Can't agree with Medal Of Honor. It was lots of fun and a big improvement over previous MOH games. The only problem was the numerous bugs, but that wasn't a deal breaker.

True. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I'm just holding on to my Kinect until Star Wars Kinect comes out. If that's good, I'll keep it. Otherwise, I'm selling off all of my Kinect shit.

Re: IGN's Top Ten Gaming Disappointments of 2010
Someone post the definition of disappointment here.
Yeah, I don't agree with most of that list. What were they expecting with the Move and Kinect? To play COD10 and that they sold 10 million units each? I think they did fine, the Kinect a little better maybe.
I haven't played MoH, still in my queue, but what they were expecting? That series has been dead for years, from reviews and sales numbers it seems it was an improvement from previous releases.
And so on...

Man, if Gran Turismo 5 is on there, you might as well throw in Rock Band 3 given all the complaints about it.

Final Fantasy is a no brainer. I'm wondering about GT5, it seems to have reviewed well but there are a lot of angry tweets about the game. I disagree with Move and Kinect. I haven't bought either but both seem to be performing well above expectation based on the opinions of people I respect.
