Kinect: Are you buying one?
Just curious to see how many of you suckers are gonna get this
I'm waiting till a price drop. The only thing that looks of interest is for Game shows like "1 vs 100" and "You don't know jack" should be fun to have with Kinect support.

I am getting it, but I am not very excited about it. I am not even buying an extra game right now. I will just mess around with the Kinect Adventures which is included.

I'm interested, but my Wii and my Move are collecting dust at the moment, so I think I'll wait it out this time. I am intrigued by the $50 clip, though, I've always wanted a clip for my tv.

I'm a fan of the Move because I think it integrates motion controls well into core gaming. This one I'm not interested in at present because the games look lame and the tech seems sketchy. Still the Mrs somehow has managed to sneak a sip of the Kool Aide and has started asking me about it though I've never brought it up and I can't even get her to play a round of table tennis or Frisbee golf with the Move controller yet. Somehow, Microsoft is worming their way into their target demographic, so give them credit for that, I suppose.

I'll just transplant my post from the clip thread since it fits more here:
What is really insane is my wife has mentioned Kinect to me several times this past week. This is a woman who despises video games and won't even go near the Wii. So for her to actually show interest in this product basically stuns me. I told her I was going to have to see a lot of reviews and a cheaper x-mas package before I even consider buying this.

Re: Kinect: Are you buying one?
Nope.
I already have a Wii (which hasn't been turned on in at least 4 months) and the Move.
I've just been hearing too many little things here and there about certain things not working (It has trouble reading you if you wear black or white, freaks out if anyone walks behind you) that I am going to be very cautious about getting it. Well, that and I'm not really that keen on flailing around with nothing to hold on to and no buttons. I am still wondering how they will create control schemes with no buttons for things like shooting games.

Yeah, my wife said she wanted to get the new "Connect" thing. I think it's because they have been showing Kinect in all the women's shows.

Re: Kinect: Are you buying one?
See, this is really the thing. I guess they're targeting non-gaming women. I know everyone thinks they're after kids, but the fact is give a three or four year old a controller and a game he likes and he'll get it eventually. When I (regrettably) showed Lego Star Wars to my 4 year old, he was waving the 360 wireless controller about like a wiimote for a day or two, but then he became shockingly proficient in it in no time. There's nothing wrong with using a controller, so I think Microsoft is chasing after people who don't realize that yet.

No, I've spent enough and I don't use my 360S enough as it is, don't need another $150 just so I can move when I play, if I want that I'll dust off my Wii.

Gonna say no on this one. My stack of unplayed normal games is building at an exponential rate, why would I want to add in movement games as well?
