Picked this up on sale for the kiddos for Easter and we finally started last night. Wow, what a joy and ridiculous amount of cuteness. This is the game that Little Big Planet should have been.
I had to start my own game save after the girls went to bed because I wanted to find everything.

Picked this up when Amazon price matched Best Buy at $20, and I'm blown away by it. I can understand the cons most people had with not being able to die, but the pure fun the game is overshadows the negatives, IMO.
For $20, it's a downright steal. Even if it was $50, I would still recommend it, depending on the person. I know the people out there wanting a 'mature and hard game, b/c I'm a man!' demograph most likely wouldn't touch it, but I bet they might change their tone if they sat down and played it for more than 30 minutes. The beginning is kinda ho-hum, but once you get to about world 3 or so, it really shines.
Plus the art-style and graphics are just absolutely beautiful.

My 7-year old has beat it three times through and is currently working on all the patches. I just have to help him with the train parts because those are a little tough. Otherwise, he's loving it.
It seems like every time I watch him play a level I see a new mechanic or homage to a classic video game genre (like the shmup parts). It's really something else.
