Quickstep...

Mix wine and orange juice in a blender and you get a quickstep drink that makes you move three times faster. Both wine and orange juice are commonly found.

My favorite combo drink though was Spitfire. It gives you lethal spit. Yes, you read that right. Frank could kill zombies by spitting at them. He was that badass.

Ditto. I wound up liking it so much I pre-ordered the sequel that supposedly comes out next week. It had enough Oblivion about it to be familiar but enough that was different to keep me interested over the long haul. Maybe I just liked the maniacal laughing that occurred whenever I waded into a pile of enemies.

Mass Effect was a big one for me. I got so bored and frustrated with it early on and gave up.

Mass Effect 2 came out to rave reviews and I decided to go back and give the first one a shot. It hooked me with the story and after finishing it up I went straight into ME2 and it is now one of my favorite games ever.

Yep.

Bought it the day it came out and stopped playing after a few weeks.

Got back into it when I noticed a bunch of people on my friend's list played it pretty much all the time.

Now I'm one of those people

As for me, I think the only game I could put in this category is Dead Nation. I tried it, and really didn't like it. Went back in a couple months later and for whatever reason, I enjoyed it much more than I did the first time. Got the plat and 100% on PS3, and then did it all over again on PS4.

In MMOs it's pretty typical for folks to stop playing for awhile and return to it after expansion packs or changes, especially the way content, balance changes, and new features are added later on in that type of game.

For those talking about Destiny it seems a little different from the intent of your thread originally, which sounded more like games you didn't care for at all at first.
