Perfect timing. I just started DMC4. So by the time I finish it, this one will be coming out.

Well one things for sure. With new emo Dante, there is a fairly good chance that the devil WILL cry.

He looks more punk than emo to me.

I couldn't make it through DMC4 :(

Re: DmC: Devil May Cry 5 by Ninja Theory

That looks borderline awful. Why don't they just create a new character?

Damn. I'm actually gonna replay it again to get some more achievements.

Re: DmC: Devil May Cry 5 by Ninja Theory

DMC4 was good but not great. It was essentially a prettier DMC3. However, I'd rank it below DMC3 because of the retarded backtracking later in the game. That just wreaked of laziness.

^ So did anyone notice that white haired Dante appears briefly in that trailer?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see that he appears more clearly in the E3 trailer.

you didn't miss a whole lot, considering the game makes you literally turn around and go the entire way back the way you came.

I can't get excited for DMC5. It doesn't look like it has the "oomph" factor of the attacks. Just looks weak. I guess it ended again at DMC3? DMC was great, DMC2 wasn't, DMC3 was fucking great, DMC4 was weak.

The "look" of the game and attacks remind of Dante's Inferno. Camera being far from the character, no "oomph" factor, a lot of crazy happening but it's not great.

I was a big fan of the DMC series....until I played Ninja Gaiden.

Looks like it plays just like the other previous DMC games. I bet they'll release the original Dante skin as paid dlc.

Exactly. Yet to hear the hardcore fans complain, you'd swear this game looks totally different to what's come before. The only major change is the look of Dante.

By the time you finish, you probably won't be too excited about the next game. DMC4 was a big disappointment.

haha, yeah it was. I popped it in again this weekend. Played through level 10, then checked online and found out I have another 10 levels to play though. No way I'm dumping that much more time in this turd, so It's getting traded in soon.

You would probably break the controller at the end when you
Spoiler:
have to fight every boss again

Re: DmC: Devil May Cry 5 by Ninja Theory

And let's not forget that the hit detection against the final boss is spotty at best. I have no idea how I beat him on my first playthrough. I've never been able to beat him again.

DMC4 is the second worst game in the series.

I figured I bump this to let anyone who didnt know that the demo is on XBL. I really enjoyed the play and style. Never played a Dmc before and got into it. Picked up the HD collection and can't wait for this new one.

The demo was tons of fun. I recommend playing this while tripping on shrooms. :D But seriously it's super trippy.
