Yeah, that's WAY more money than any DLC would've ever made, at a fraction of the cost.

I can't wait for this game!

BTW, are you guys interested in rounding up a posse in November for the online portion similar to what we used to do for the first game? Let me know via PM or this thread and I'll create a thread similar to the one below but only with RDR2 for now. This message is for PS4 owners.

I would be interested, but I think a lot of the people who participated in the PS3 posse for RDR aren't active on the forum anymore.

Yeah. Looking at that thread and people who posted on it, I haven't seen those guys in years...

I think I still got you on my Friends list Obi-Wan Jabroni and I got Cruz too. I communicated with Cruz recently, and he's definitely wants to be part of whatever group we form for RDR2. At least that's 3 to start...

149 GB total to play this game now. That’s installation files, updates and all that good stuff.

I'll probably be stuck picking flowers forever as I usually got sidetracked by that in the first game but I'd be down for some posse stuff.

Fucking ridiculous. That’s one thing I hate about modern gaming. Basically it’s worthless to even have a disc because most games have a big ass install file and updates right off the bat.

Well, that's only for digital PS4 owners. More specifically:

Answer: The amount of space required to install Red Dead Redemption 2 depends on the platform you are using, and the method of installation:

Disc Installation:

PS4 - 99 GB installation space
Xbox One - 107 GB installation space
Digital Installation:

PS4 - 99 GB installation space with an additional 50GB for the installation process
Xbox One - 107 GB installation space
And this is still just space required, we don't know actual download size, if there are multiple physical discs, or mandatory downloads or day one patches yet.

Regardless that’s a lot of damn space. I’m not in a rush for this anyways despite liking the first and this looking like a worthy follow up.

I'm gonna lube up my PS4 so it can take it all in.

On the bright side, digital pre-loading is starting already.

If you buy the digital version of the game, you can start downloading it now so that it's ready to go on release day (or night, whenever Rockstar decides is the launch time). Since it's such a large download, gives people time to get it all rather then have to download 100 GB on the 26th.

How do you do that on Xbox? It says installed or only option when I go into game is uninstall. I see 4 preorder bonuses downloaded, but that was nothing. I don’t see option to predownload actual game...

A few more hours to wait.

Rockstar has announced that pre-loading will begin on Friday, October 19 at 12 AM ET / 5 AM BST, or 9 PM PT on Thursday.
Going to just get the game in the mail on Friday and then start loading it, playing Friday night through the weekend. My days of playing midnight to morning are pretty much over. lol

Ah. Will there be some option to download? Never done that before. You mean next Friday? That’s when game comes out...

That's true. Only upside to the disc is reselling, or faster install down the line for those of us with slower net speeds.

Sorry yeah, Xbox should be tonight. PS4 apparently already started according to reports I saw online of people downloading the game already.

I'm also reading that there are pictures of the physical case from other regions confirming that its 2 discs.

Yep, China. I was reading some retailers overseas have shipped the physical copies out but they are being held for delivery until the 26th.

No just the download this week. They will release an update file or something next Thursday into Friday around midnight that will allow the game to work.

I've actually never pre-downloaded a game before so I'm just going off the info I have read.
