I only play sports game, should I buy XBox360 or PS3?
The only games I play are Madden, NHL, NBA, FIFA Soccer, and Tiger Woods Golf. What system has better gameplay, XBox360 or PS3?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Which controller do you prefer? Pick your poison they are all about the same as far as gameplay goes. You pay $50 a year for online gaming on 360. Free on PS3. More players are on 360 apparently - may wanna check amongst you friends/coworkers/family/peers to see who has what - if you really want to play with them online.

I think they'll be the same. The difference is probably if you like baseball, where MLB The Show is exclusive to the PS3.

Not that it probably makes much of a difference in the decision, but this statement is like saying you pay $39.99 per movie if you buy blu-rays. Yes, you can find ways to pay $50, but I've been on Live for about four years and have never paid more than around $30.

They are pretty much the same, but if you are a movie buff and have an HDTV then you should get a PS3 as it has a blu-ray built in. Aside from that it is probably going to be about the exact same.

I think you can boil it down to 4 questions you have to ask yourself:
1. Do you play online?
2. Which controller do you prefer?
3. Do you have friends that game on a particular system (comes in handy to play together, loan games, etc.)?
4. Do you have any interest in MLB the Show or PS Move?
Lastly, the 360 has a pretty significant edge in the price department right now. No it doesn't have BD or free online play, but if you are flying solo you can get by with a $130 Arcade unit, whereas the cheapest PS3 is $300.

Neither. Get a Wii!
Just kidding. As others have said, it's mostly a wash except for some wild cards like BD playback and the exclusivity of MLB: The Show.
BTW, both systems have online stores where you can buy simpler games besides just sports. They don't require the learning curve or commitment of today's RPGs or shooters.

PS3. All the good sports games (Madden, FIFA, NHL, NBA2Kx) are more or less the same on both systems, except MLB The Show. It's the best MLB game by a long shot and is a PS3 exclusive. If you don't care about baseball, then it really just comes down to which controller you prefer.

I have a 360 and love it for sports games. I own about 30-40 games and have a good balance with sports and action games. If you are looking to get a system and like baseball games, then by all means get the PS3 and get The Show. I've never played it, but most people here rave about it over 2K's version. All the other games like Madden, NBA 2K, Elite and NHL will be the same. Plus it also has a Blu-Ray player as well as others have mentioned. But, if you don't care about baseball and want something a little cheaper, then IMO the 360 is the way too go.
