Who's the one that many times has extra gamestop DLC codes? If there's an extra one for the songs for the 360...

I think the codes are being printed on receipts this year.

Blah. Mine shipped, but the estimated arrival date is 10/27. That's not release date shipping, Amazon!

The Imagine album is nice, but when are we getting that other rumored Lennon DLC? I was looking forward to "(Just Like) Starting Over."

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

No email from Amazon here. Website says "Shipping Soon" with a delivery date of tomorrow. They better hurry if they plan on getting it here by then.

(Isn't overnight shipping, oh I dunno, expensive as hell?)

They did the same thing with Halo. I didnt get a shipping notice until 2 am and sure enough it made it that day.

In other words, i wouldn't resort to the panic button just yet.

Yeah, but they're probably shipping stuff to you out of Lexington, and that's like 75 miles away. Some of us have the misfortune of being located in crappier and more distant places. I'm hoping to be surprised with a copy of Rock Band 3 tomorrow, but I'm expecting it to be delivered a day late.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

Adam I am in Columbia and I have had Amazon stuff get shipped super late at night/early the next morning and still make release day shipping. That said if your email has the delivery date as the 27th I would email Amazon. My copy shipped earlier and has the 26th.

Are you sure you selected Release Date shipping? I know it doesn't always default to that at checkout.

Is that not the default for Amazon Prime stuff? All I remember seeing is the usual 2 day, 3 day, or standard shipping.

Edit - oh, maybe ordering the game with the keyboard in two parts (stupid PS3) screwed me over. I do see release date shipping as the default when I select another game, but I didn't have that option with Rock Band 3.

I have the RB2 drums, does it matter what cymbal set I get for RB3 pro drums?

I think it usually defaults to 2-day. You have to change it to Release Date. That's my experience anyway.

EDIT: Just tried to pre-order Blood Stone. Gave me these choices with 2-day defaulted.

Choose a shipping speed:
Standard Shipping (3-5 business days)
Two-Day Shipping (2 business days)
One-Day Shipping (1 business day)
Release-Date Delivery --get it Tuesday, November 2!

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

An 8.5 from IGN. Yes, 8.5 is a "Great" score, but the reviewer basically says "Play a really real guitar instead!" and "If you don't care about a keyboard or pro modes or DLC, it's just RB2."

But, ultimately, the Pro Guitar is kind of dumb. If you're going to pay this much for a fake guitar with buttons that make it hard to slide your fingers on, why not spend a little more and buy the real thing? You're just upgrading from one guitar with plastic buttons to another guitar with way more plastic buttons.

A full-stringed guitar is in the works but won't be available at launch. Though Pro Guitar totally changes how you play Rock Band 3, and is brilliant in its implementation, buying it isn't going to get you groupies (why else would you learn guitar?). Get the real deal at this point. Stop living your rock fantasies through cheap plastic toys.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution

So wait, don't buy the real Rock Band guitar, just buy a real guitar?

How do they let a dolt who persists with that mentality review a rhythm game?
