I like the Ministry tracks, but that's it? Who do they think they are, Neversoft? ;)

Well, this has quickly washed the disappointing taste of next week's DLC out of my mouth (via RBA):

Last night, Game Informer put up their weekly podcast featuring both Rock Band 3 and Dance Central. HMXers John, Sylvain, and Daniel are on hand to talk about the game, and in a conversation about transitioning from fake to real instruments, Daniel casually tossed out that you can learn to play real guitar on “Space Oddity.” While this is not an official confirmation, it’s the closest thing that we can get to an official confirmation.

What’s also interesting to note is that “Space Oddity” was also on the mystery leaked list from a few weeks back. Man, that list is looking more and more accurate every day!

Go to GameInformer to listen to the whole thing, as it is very entertaining!

Just curious Pinata because I know nothing about Ministry : Did you boo because you hate them or because you didn't like their song selection or because you were hoping for more tracks?

Just the lack of variety and I think it's been a long while since we've had such a small week.

I couldn't care less about Ministry either way (though I was happy yesterday that the on-disc spot was freed up :))

I think the last week with only three tracks was 4/27.. Flyleaf, Busted, and Silverchair.

And even then there was at least variety. But I'm just being spoiled.

All Ministry tracks for me. Isn't there another KMFDM song that hasn't hit RBN for PS3 yet besides JJJ? I thought Drug Against War was out for the 360. I would have thought getting that on PS3 could coincide with Sturm und Drang, but even the same week as Ministry would work.

Yup, A Drug Against War is on the 360 RBN.

I'm in for the LP tracks. Will be my first purchase since the Breaking Benjamin tracks last year.

I finally grabbed the Stage Kit last night at work for $20. That thing is pretty awesome. The fog machine is way too loud, but hilarious. I suggest anyone who doesn't own it, but plays Rock Band regularly to go buy it now!

Side note, "The Final Countdown" with fog and lights was not as epic as I had hoped. They need to re-tool that one :)

If you don't mind my asking, where do you work? I'd definitely be interested in the stage kit for $20.

Gamestops are clearing the Stage Kits out at $20. They're OOS online so you'll have to get lucky and find one in-store.

Yay from me on the Ministry. Three classic songs I like a lot and am familiar with > six songs from bands I've never heard of, or that I don't like.
[Note I didn't say "good" or "bad" songs, I know musical taste is subjective. But I haven't bought a mainstream DLC track in months. I just don't care about the recent songs that much. And none of the 2000's songs on RB3 interest me in the slightest.]

Thanks to discostu & jdpatri for the stage kit info. After finding one at a local Gamestop, I got it home and hooked it up. It was pretty cool, but I figured it would be awesome to have a light and fog/strobe on both sides of the TV. I looked online to see if it were possible to plug in two stage kits at the same time, but found out it wouldn't work.

I then stumbled upon the "dual stage kit mod" found here: http://docsrockbandmods.netforums.us...hp?p=1938#1938 (the mod by mickeyash from page 10 of the thread is exactly what I was looking to do). After reading through the entire thread I decided to go get a second stage kit from a another local Gamestop and maybe I'd one day get around to doing the mod.

I guess that day was today. I woke up this morning and decided to take a ride to Radio Shack to pick up the necessary items. After reading through the thread again and printing out some photos, I decided to give it a go (having never soldered anything in my life). After about two hours, I had everything done and put together and hooked up the pair to the Xbox and fired up Rock Band 2. I'm ecstatic to say that it went perfect. Everything was in sync and all lights were working, no adjustments necessary.

Now I can't wait to surprise everyone with this setup at the next Rock Band gathering.

Here's a video my wife took after hooking it up for the first time

I bought the stage kit a couple years back, and it's awesome for get togethers that's for sure.

Glad I can be a part of such an awesome Rock Band spectacle... if only peripherally through the dissemination of information.

Anyone know if the stage kit will work with RB3?

Yes, it will. But not in "all instrument" mode, as there is no dedicated controller for the mics. It requires no special coding to use, as it just uses the lighting information from the venue track.

That was my concern before deciding to buy the kit. I got confirmation of RB3 compatibility from here: http://rockbandaide.com/5885/rock-ba...our-questions/

Don't think it's been posted yet, or if anyone here cares, but this is up for testing on the RBN site..

It's really easy to see what's out... http://error420.com/rbn/

But for the lazy, no, it's not.

But it's in playtesting, right? The writer of the song said it was a couple of weeks ago. Seems your link is only showing what is officially released and, for example, even the I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT !!!1 tune isn't listed.

I will get that song, along with the 'Splosion Man songs, immediately. I also picked up (Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar as soon as I got the tweet Thursday night last week and my daughters played it first thing Friday morning. Big fun! Hope The Guild brings out their new bollywood song, "Game On", soon too.
