Wow, it is $2. It's not a good game, but for that price, it might be worth it. I'll have to try the demo and see if it plays better than the PSP version.

Damn, I forgot about that. I wonder if I should pull the trigger on BG&E now or just wait for a sale. I doubt I'll play it right away.

Is anyone else getting repeated errors when trying to search the XBL Marketplace on the computer?

Sale. It'll be 50% off when that time comes. If you don't need to play it now, just wait.

I've been waiting for a sale on both Costume Quest and Faery. Refresh my memory: were they both 1200 points before now?

yeah, but I'm torn. I want to support the team so that the sequel doesn't get shit-canned. Any ideas on how well BG&E sold?

BTW, just played Snoopy over the weekend for the first time after buying that on sale way back when. That means I should be ready for some Serious Sam II action by June.

Hey, superfro, do you happen to recall what your impressions were of Alien Breed 1 & 2? I remember sort of liking the first demo. Would it make sense to just pick up the second one of the series, or would there be any compelling reason to tackle the first one first?

Oooh, per Major Nelson, one-day-only sale starting tomorrow:

Title Date Price Savings
Fallout: New Vegas Dead Money Add-on Apr. 1 400 50%
Comic Jumper Apr. 1 400 67%
Deadliest Warrior Apr. 1 200 75%
Fable 3 Understone Add-on Apr. 1 200 50%
I'll get Deadliest Warrior for $2.50.

Now I'll begin kicking myself for buying Comic Jumper at launch for 1200 points.

Yeah..but if you would've waited to buy it you wouldn't have been able to bitch about it being terrible all that time.

Good point. My bitching was almost worth $10 right there.

Seriously, this game is SO frustrating. It's so close to being great, and where it misses isn't because of bad graphics or crappy controls, it's because the programmers wanted to be total dicks and make the game super-hard for no reason.

Give Super Meat Boy credit -- it prides itself in being super-hard and finishing the demo is tough -- in short you know what you're getting into.. Comic Jumper, on the other hand, gives you a very fun, funny and eminently playable demo that totally tricks you into thinking the game will be an enjoyable romp. It ain't.

There's always the demo!

For the record, I'm still not getting it at 400 points.

See above. I'd have to disagree with that statement

Any thoughts on 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures 2? The demo for the first was so god-awful that I never even tried the demo for the second one, maybe I should. Did anyone pick up Faery yet? (miyu, I'm looking at you) I might get that one for my daughter, if it's enjoyable enough for her.

Hey, this is some sort of a record -- I only already own 3 of those 17 games on XBLA (though I do have Gyromancer and Defense Grid on Steam, Costume Quest on PSN and Unbound Legacy on the PSP -- at least all those were already purchased on discounts of 50% or more). Yay Frugality!!!
Hey! Why would you think.... alright - fair enough - it does look right up my alley. I have not grabbed it yet though. The demo seemed mildly interesting but I seem to recall some reviews complaining about the controls. My backlog though is so absurd now I kind of feel dumb considering it since I am in the middle of both BG&E and Costume Quest with my daughter.

I kind of wish the Costume Quest DLC had went on sale as well.

What is Unbound Legacy? I don't remember that one at all.

It's crappy. Comic book styled side scrolling beat em up, so clearly inspired by Comix Zone. Just boring and repetitive, not fun. Two player co-op online and local. Probably worth $2 if you just love the genre, though.

Re: The official Xbox Live Arcade/Indie Games/Game Room Thread of Space Bucks for Fun

I will probably pick up Doom II at 400 space bucks (I certainly got my money's worth with the first Doom on XBLA). I tried out 3d Ultra Golf and Costume Quest. The golf game flat out sucked (my opinion) and Costume Quest seemed awfully cute but I just wasn't feeling it enough to buy it.

Edit: On the April Fools sale, Fable 3 DLC is tempting but I will probably just wait for the eventual Platinum disc version that includes all of the DLC. Since I like to collect all things Fable
