Create your own movie/tv-game

I was thinking of some movies and tv shows that would work great as games if handled properly and not be a rush job crap we see most of the time. It seems this generation the games have gotten a bit better but there are still a ton of stinkers out there.

1.24: Operation Nightfall: A 3rd person shooter/stealth game. It would take place before the events of Day One. We've learned a few things over the course of the series about the events of that day in Belgrade and a game would be a perfect medium to tell the whole story.

2.Harry Potter: An MMORPG set in the world of Hogwarts. I know a lot of people don't like this kind of genre but i think there's so much great material to work with that could turn the genre on it's head. They could set the game before the events of the book when Harry's parents were at school. You would go through all seven years of school and at the end you pick a job as maybe a teacher, Auror, Executioner, Healer, Herbologist, Hit Wizard , Quidditch Player etc etc . I'm surprised they haven't made this game yet as it would be a huge money maker and wow killer.

3.Angel: A co-op game similar to left 4 dead that takes place immediately after the Finale would be awesome. So much potential for a great game.

4.Inglorious Bastards: A sick and twisted game where you control one of the bastards. Killing and torturing Nazis are your only objective!

What movie/tv show would you turn into a great game?

1. Star Wars sandbox game -- I would love to be able to play an open world Star Wars game where I could ride a tauntaun on Hoth while hunting wampas or race speeder bikes on the Endor Moon. I think I would prefer if I was just playing as some random character who happens to be involved in major events in the original trilogy. Just give me a blaster I don't need to be a Jedi.

2. Dundler Miffin vs. 30 Rock -- a 2D fighting game featuring a large roster from both shows, each character with their own special moves.

I hated that damn game! I was really hyped for it then when I played it I was pissed. The cel shaded graphics didn't work. I like the look of hit and run better.

Kill Bill - a modern-day beat-em-up. Fight your way through Bill's assassins and participate in minigames to recover from a coma, dig yourself out of your own grave, and more!

GI Joe.

FPS like COD 4, or 3rd like Star Wars Battlefront. Multipayer has different factions such as Joe, Cobra, Iron Grenadiers, etc. Then classes such as Viper, Grunt, BAT, etc. Then have a hero class appear at random respawns like Battlefront for characters like Snake Eyes, Duke, etc.

Punisher, Sandbox like GTA

Knight Rider - A hybrid of Driver and Twisted Metal - Here's the plot from Wikipedia that sounds like a friggin video game
Self-made billionaire Wilton Knight rescues police detective Michael Long after a near fatal shot to the face, giving him a new identity (via plastic surgery) and a new name: Michael Knight. Wilton selects Michael to be the muscle in the pilot program of his Knight Foundation-funded public justice organization, the Foundation for Law and Government (FLAG). The other half of this pilot program is the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT), a Pontiac Trans Am controlled by a computer with artificial intelligence. Michael and KITT are brought in during situations where "direct action might provide the only feasible solution".

Heading FLAG is Devon Miles, who provides Michael with directives and guidance. Dr. Bonnie Barstow is the chief engineer in charge of KITT's care, as well as technical assistant to Devon
Start off as Mike Longfor a couple of missions, have him die and be approached by FLAG, misions and mayhem ensue. KITT is upgradable as the game progresses. You can eventually have KITT destroyed and brought back in another car body. Sonds like fun.

Damn that sounds like it would make a great game. I'd buy it.

Re: Create your own movie/tv-game

First there is Stargate Worlds, an MMO (that still hasn't launched) and Stargate: Resistance (3rd person action game) which released earlier in the year on PCs.

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment was behind both those games and went bankrupt in the process. Resistance was sold to Firesky who released it. IIIRC, Worlds is still in limbo.

But before all this there was a FPS for consoles(planned for Xbox & PS2) called Stargate: Alliance that never saw the light of day. Looks like they put a decent amount of work into it before it was cancelled.

So it just seems that the Stargate property is cursed when it comes to games.
