Yeah I saw that, I lwas hoping there was a game mode specifically for it like in other years. Even if you go to your trophy room to look it up it only tells you the name of the trophy, not the teams who play the game. Lazy.

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

my 10 yr old son and I created a team with teambuilder, stuck them in the SEC, and then played a dynasty season.. went pretty well, still impressed with the updates

recruiting wasnt as effortless as its been for us in the past.. we did pretty shitty.. definitly going to have to change up our strategy for this next season..
luckily we stacked our team when we built it originally
would be nice if before each season, when given the option to create new recruits, you could do that on the computer... pain in the ass to have to enter them in through the console.

would definitly be nicer if there was more interplay between the computer/ea site and the game.

Ok so seeing that in an online dynasty league you can do the recruiting online I am pretty impressed. So I want to ask one more time if there are any 360 people who want to get an online league going. There is already a PS3 one and I'm jealous.

Please don't make me join some ransom league

HAHA what a fortunate and funny typo, I'm not even going to edit it

Cool, if I start seeing enough interest in here I'll make a new dedicated league thread.

I have a PS3, I just bought the game for the 360. My brother only has a 360 and is getting the game so I wanted to play him online, plus I've just always bought all sports games for 360 so I went that route.

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

I would be interested in doing a 360 league if everyone actually participates in it. I remember doing the Madden online league last year and we didn't even make it through the whole season

If one does get going we should pick a conference (Pac-10, Big 10 etc) and pick teams out of that so we would actually get to play each other.

Yeah if we do get this going I will ask you guys what the exact details of the league you want (length, difficulty, conference, etc...)

Hopefully this one can take off. It seems you would play the computer more often than in Madden so people should be able to do that without getting bogged down with timing a meet up for every game. Plus recruiting can be done online which I really want to check out.

Also even if there is a small number of us that want to do this I we still should. It would still be fun and would cut down on the odds of someone dropping. Plus we might be able to get through a couple seasons and get into recruiting classes and what not. Even if only 3 or 4 wanted to do this I'd be down.

Yeah I am down. I'm in a 4 man league right now and seems to move along pretty smoothly, so I have no problem getting going with a smaller one. Should we pick a conference and choose teams out of that? I just say no Pac-10 since the one I'm already in is a Pac-10 league. I think I still have you on my friends list on Live from the Madden league last year so if we do it just shoot me a invite.

That works for me, I was going to ask if we could not do the Big Ten as I do the majority of my offline there.

I was going to suggest doing a mid conference just to make the recruiting more fun like the MAC or something similar. Figured it would make the season more fun and not just have a 3 way race between us in the conference.

Also I'm open to the settings of the league as far as difficulty game length and what not. I haven't seen what all I have control of as far as setting it up so when I get home today I'll look at it and see. but I'm open to whatever suggestions. I will say I'm not the best at the game so I don't want to play on the hardest difficulty.

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

Let's do All-American difficultly. I still tend to beat the computer 99 times out of 100 on that but it's not ridiculously easy like Varsity and not insanely hard like Heisman. (Seriously! Played a game on Heisman and the opposing corner made the cut the same way my receiver was going before even the receiver did! It's like the computer knew exactly what route my receiver was going to run. ) If we want to get realistic stats we should do 7 minute quarters but I do my offline dynasty with 5 just to get through the games faster so it really doesn't matter to me.

I was also thinking 7 minutes and All-American difficulty.

What are your thoughts on picking a mid-major conference to play in?

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

I don't have any preference to conference but if you're going for the recruiting angle I think it would be better to stick with a major like the SEC because I don't think you'll be finding any of the 4 or 5 star recruits lining up to go somewhere like Northern Illinois or Ball State But like I said I don't have any preference (just not the Pac-10) so whatever is decided I am cool with. I'm taking the indecisive stance on this one

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

So random question, does anyone know what happens in recruiting if you don't fulfill one or more promises to a recruit you made to get them sign with your program? Promised this 4 star tackle Solid playing time first year on campus and a conference championship. Turns out he was only rated in the mid 60's overall and there's no way I'm going to start him this year and the am working on the conference championship but it's up in the air still. How does it affect future recruiting by not getting those promises?

I know that you run the risk of them transferring to a different school. Not sure how it affects your coaching rating or grade.

This might be wishful thinking but I was thinking that if we were able to play through a few seasons it would be cool to see if we could take some mid range teams and see if we could build them up. I've done this with friends offline and it's always been pretty fun. But I can do either way.

Re: NCAA Football 11 (360, PS3) July 13, 2010

Ok looked at the settings and if it's cool with you guys should we do 7 min. quarters at All-American difficulty for both game and recruiting. Also I can use a custom roster so we have the real names in there. I'll use the one from OS that is just name changes, nothing else tampered with.

Let me know what you guys think we should do conference wise. I think it would be fun if we all chose 3 star teams and tried to build them up, but if not I'm down with whatever. Let me know so I can get this started.

I like your idea to try to build up those lower tier programs and I am doing my offline one with Washington State (2 Stars) with the same thing in mind, but I just have to wonder if we can actually keep up with something that would more and likely span multiple seasons and in my limited experience doing online dynasty's and franchises it's hard enough making it though 1 season.

Yeah I thought that too initially, but with there only being three people and since in college football we would conceivably play each other once a season I think it would be possible.
