PS3 headset help needed

So I have a ps3 headset and the output is still set to my tv because I don't want to wear it, but where should I put it? I think it's too close to my tv and it's giving off feedback.

What I want:

1. People to be able to hear me with no loud buzzing noises
2. Me to be able to hear them from my tv without wearing headset

any suggestions?

Ultimately, you have to have your mouth close enough to the mic to be louder than the ambient noise in the room.

I'd just wear it, and set the output to the headset.

Thanks I changed the volume on my tv and I think that might have solved it, but I'm not sure yet.

Just tape it to the side of your face if it makes your ear feel weird.

Does anyone else think it's weird that Slider's commenting on someone's headset use?

Multiple Warhawk in-jokes taking over the forum.
