360 RROD Question - New Heatsinks?
Just had my THIRD 360 (2nd Elite!) RROD.
Are they now replacing the 360s, if they can't be fixed (I received new consoles for my first two RRODs), with the ones with the new heatsinks so that they don't RROD?

I had my 360 RR back in February/March back and they sent me a 2006 Zephyr refurb which is bullshit because there's NO new heatsink on this model.
I would say YMMV.....

That's what I was afraid of. The last time I RROD'd, they sent me a 360 that was a year OLDER than the one I sent them. So annoying.

Hey, as long as they fix them FOR FREE it's no big deal.
I'll play their old non-new-heatsinked 360's until they RR and keep sending them back for a "new" old non-new-heatsinked 360.
But once they tell me I have to pay to fix a 4 year old REFURB....MS and ME is gonna have problems.

Are they taking longer to repair now?
The first RROD I had, MS shipped a new 360 back to me the next day.
My first Elite that RROD'd, MS shipped back a new one the same day.
This one, Microsoft's had since Tuesday, and still shows as a "repair status". I thought I'd heard they'd actually sped up?

Did they send you the same one? If not, was it an older one that you had, or a newer one?
