AC2 is one of the few games to really hook me and achieve the platinum. I have a feeling I'm gonna be addicted to this title for awhile, can't wait!

Ok, fine, I guess I'll plan on dropping $40 on this at K-Mart on Thanksgiving.

I'd say absolutely. Based on the couple hours I spent in single player last night, it's great.

And I actually WANT to try out the multiplayer mode..which is a very rare thing for me.

After reading the reviews I had to spring for this. Rather than deal with KMart on Thursday/Friday I used up my Amazon credit from Rock Band and NFS. $30 plus the $15 credit.

The seasonal backlog is again threatening to destroy me.

This is why I drop any pretense with my working from home arrangement and actually take vacation to play video games.

Yeah... I work from home three days a week. I just take 3-hour lunches.

I can't be blamed for needing my bread toasted just so.

Just convince a friend to go buy it from TRU... then steal their $20 GC and buy it, and sneak the card back into their wallet.

Since I still need AC:2, I will utilize the Best Buy deal and buy both to get the free $30 gift card.

Must resist the urge to buy this until I actually start and finish AC2.

I'm half-way through AC2, taking my time, but now I'm gonna blast through it and then buy Brotherhood.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood --> Nov. 16, 2010

I just recently got AC2 for cheap (I hated the first game). Since AC2 has been super awesome I am now eyeing this new one.

I will probably try to hold off till after the holiday and snag it cheap when I finally finish AC2. I want to know more about the multiplayer though. If I buy it down the road can I set up private matches with friends and play one another and still gain xp to level up?

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood --> Nov. 16, 2010

I picked up the new one at TRU even though I never played the last one (still in shrink wrap since launch day). I was totally planning on waiting on this, but that TRU deal was too damned good to pass up. I went with the PS3 version since apparently the free exclusive DLC is pretty meaty and the multiplayer isn't the huge draw I had originally thought.

Are you planning on playing the 2nd one? I hope so. And if you are - DO NOT start this one if you want anything from the 2nd to surprise you.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood --> Nov. 16, 2010

Oh. Thanks for the heads-up.

It won't matter that I'm moving from the 360 version of AC2 to the PS3 AC:B will it? There's no Mass Effect-like cross game connectivity is there?

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood --> Nov. 16, 2010

I'll repeat that for anyone else who hasn't finished AC2.

If you have not played Assassin's Creed 2 to completion, DO NOT start the story mode of ACBrotherhood. The ending of Part 2 is covered, spoiled, rewrapped and will ruin any of the awesomeness that the AC2 had in its ending.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood --> Nov. 16, 2010

Does anyone know if I would be safe to start AC:B if I haven't finished 2? Does the story continue at all or are they separate storylines?

Wait. So I'm not supposed to play AC:B if I already finished AC2? Shit. Glad I hadn't opened it yet.
