I decided to prestige tonight... Not sure why. That said I was back to level 3 after my first match :)

It is not that big of a deal in Team Deathmatch, but if it starts one more fucking objective based game with 6 vs 5 or 5 vs 4 I am going to shove the game up someones ass...and it will not be my own. Two balanced teams on a game like Domination...just one extra player makes all the difference in the world...and half the time people will drop out when it becomes obvious that we are going to lose. So we end up 6 vs 4 on a game like Domination...UGHGHGHGH

^^ Exactly why I stay with TDM. After I reached certain objectives in the objective based games (ie capture 15 flags or disarm / set the bomb 10 times), I immediately went back to TDM so my gaming experience wouldn't be ruined. You simply cannot win when you have one less person in those types of matches.
If Activision was smart, when a game is unbalanced, they would force longer wait times to respawn -- much longer times.

I mostly play Domination...how hard would it be for them to have the flag locations randomized a bit? That and camping teammates are probably my 2 main complaints about that mode.

A group of 4 of us went 23-0 playing Domination the other night, because we all actually went for flags instead of sitting around waiting for somebody to run by.

I can't play TDM half the time because I only play with a group of old friends who are all on Tue and Friday...and my best friend...bless his heart...is the worst player in game history....after many nights of playing...same amount of time (we are all in the 2 days of play time now...like 2 days 5 hours) we are all double or about to be double prestige. He is still level 29 I think...his typical game is 2 and 24...As you would imagine we would never win a game of TDM...but we have had a lot of fun on domination and CTF...and he is real good at just throwing his body at the flag...had one match he was 0 and 36 with 14 captures..LOL...we tease him all the time that we wish we could strap c4 to his back....

I am all for holding the lobby until the team is balanced...maybe not for TDM...but for all others

As for how the game plays....it is usually 4 of us and 2 strangers. Nothing pisses me off more than when a person is going for Kill/death on domination. Very rarely does a killstreak reward change a game of domination...if someone pulls in a gunship or something, we just all switch to ghost pro...when we play a team that is all worried about getting killstreaks, by the time they start calling them in, it is usually 120 to 60 or so and it is to late for them... but when your own team is doing this...when you have a guy with a sniper gun on say WMD...with zero captures zero defends, and who is 26 and 5...and we are losing....FUCK HIM...

I've never noticed any major balance issues playing Domination with one player down. Maybe it's because on PC and the competition is a bit different.

Also, randomizing flags doesn't seem like a good idea either. The point is strategy and being able to maintain your position in that mode.

Well I meant randomize them for each match - they'd stay in the same location for the entire match. That or just have like 3 or so different locations each flag could be placed in a given match.

For example Firing Range comes up ALL the time for me, and it just sort of gets old having the exact same battle for B every time, campers sitting in the exact same spots each game, etc. Hell, just moving the flags 20 feet in one direction would change things up a bit.

Because the maps are designed to be balanced in a certain way with the B point at a specific choke point for both teams.

I'm probably also thinking as someone who's done a lot of online leagues and competitions for PC FPS games in the past, so I think of the strategy and balance first. Having the points show up randomly different in each match still kills that.

Again, I agree with you for the most part, but I'm saying things could still be setup so B is still the choke point for both teams, but just have a couple different areas where it can be in that general area. Strategy would still be required to obtain and keep that point, but it would be one of a few different strategies based on which spot the point shows up in.

By keeping things the exact same for so long, certain players just become way too annoying in exploiting it.

I always find the best teams in Domination have a mix of guys playing defense/camping, capturing the objectives while having couple of guys rushing and spawntrapping and going for kills/Killstreaks. Basicly playing to their strengths.

Finally got to play "Five" this past week (had to wait until friend's unlocked it for Zombie mode). Wow, what a blast. Maybe the most challenging yet.

Back to the death match talk...

I don't think they really could, unless they make the maps larger or more complicated. Looking at the existing maps, they seem to be designed around where the points would be. I'm happy the way they are. Plus, you get to know where people like to camp anyway, and I can't think of any exploits just based on location.

The one "exploit" that annoys me more than anything is when a member of the opposing team throws / launches a grenade at the start of a match and it lands in right near a flag and kills 2 or 3 guys.

Stupid Xbox live question, can two people play with two different xbox live accounts on one Xbox? My friend and I are going to hang out and play some black ops, can we go online?

If whoever is not home brings their profile saved on a memory card or a jump drive then you can (I am reasonably sure).

Zip lines in a MP map seem fun.

Bit of a bummer that you can't use your gun on them though.

I'm a bit bummed by the Stadium map. Their initial description sounded different. I was picturing a big arena with a hockey rink in the center.

The other three maps look great.

I saw half of an accessible ice rink in that video

Yeah, but I'm talking about a big professional ice hockey arena. Something like Madison Square Garden with press boxes, souvenir stands, beer stalls, lockers rooms, etc. This looks more like a small community center ice rink.

I finally went ahead and just did it and just like you...level 3 after one match then level 5 after the second the match.

I achieved Ghost Pro yesterday. It took dozens of matches to actually find a Sentry gun to destory. With our team losing 7300 - whatever, I spotted a sentry gun across the map and blasted it with my rocket launcher. I literally took it out 1/2 second before the match ended!
