I played the demo and loved it! It had great explosions and was just plain sexy! It did have its flaws but it was an early demo. I still dug it. Now the trailer above has come out and this has become my most anticipated game since... well I dont know... I just hope theres split screen.

Ive also seen trailer where I think you can either be the GOW guys on the XBox and the PS3 will get the Resident Evil characters.

I cant be the only one keeping tabs on this!

Dude it's gonna be AWESOME. I can't wait to have my ass handed to me online. :lol: I'm looking forward to the co-op BIG monster battles. I can't say I was crazy about the demo, but I still liked it a lot. Supposedly CAPCOM really listened to the fans of the 1st game while making LP2. We'll see...

I havent played the demo in awhile but will when I hook my PS3 back up. I forgot how they character has the grappling hook ala Just Cause 2.

I read somewhere that this game is only going to be co-op, is that confirmed? I don't mind having a multiplayer mode, but if this game doesn't have a real single player mission, i'm out.

I believe you can still play a Single player campaign. You will just play along AI instead of going solo like the previous LP game.

Kinda like Left 4 Dead I and II LP2 was created with Co-op and Multiplayer in mind. Especially since that's where the LP Community thrived.

I know. Most of it will be either debunking misinformation, or telling folks maybe they should go back to playing HALO 3 and Borderlands since they hate LP2 so much. :lol::p:(

Man I never liked the first one just cause how my character was controlled it just felt funny. I will give this one a try but the May 18th date is crowded.

That is correct. I've played the demo online and offline and you get AI assist offline. Though the AI partners only appeared during the first section of my solo playthrough. For the rest I was on my own.

Well I did the demo in single player and I didnt see a damn person fighting by my side and I had a blast going solo. I just wish it was split screen ala Army of 2.

I want to note, I saw a commercail for this last night on ESPN, looks awesome!

Edit to add, I just saw the above trailers and HOLY SHIT!!!

I forgot to say initially that the damn demo is in 480p for me so it looks like shit... if the final game is NOT 1080i I will be severely dissapointed :mad:

The Demo has you and 3 other characters if you play Single player. But they run off to fight the Salamander and die right away. :lol:

Well my TV doesnt do 720, so stupid Capcom makes the PS3 downscale instead of upscale for me! I dont know why some do this while others (like Burnout) will upscale. Most however (like Bad Company, Resident Evil 5) downscale everyhting to shit.

I played the demo tonight with someone online and it was awesome! We made it to the giant salamander and the damn thing ate me! I than fought it from the inside. It was full of other monsters and I was shooting/throwing bombs at what I guess was the heart. Than it shit me out...

There has been a 360 demo since last year on the marketplace. I think a new one is coming shortly.

The New VS(Vital Suits) are pretty cool too. I noticed the in one of then you can throw grenades which is new to the series. There are also new VS's that have multiple positions for co-op attacks.

I really couldn't get into the first one that much...I tried but it just didn't feel right. I just saw the 4:00 minute trailer over at Teamxbox

My first thought was...is this a different Lost Planet series because it sure as hell doesn't look no where like the first one. Pretty impressive with the massive enemies, different worlds and surroundings, characters look ten times better with some good customization. I'll have to read more but the fact it has co-op is enough for me to read more about it.

It's set 10 years after the 1st game. The environment has changed from planet covered mostly by snow, to one covered with jungles, oceans(?) and other tropical areas.

I haven't been able to find a lot about the storyline involving four player co-op mode. I'm wondering since there are several different factions that each has it's own storyline/missions?

No you're right, there's a NEW Multiplayer Demo up there. I looked and the 1st Demo, which is still up, was Co-op.

Wow, I played a few matches on the Multiplayer demo and it was really cool. Not perfect, but pretty cool. Some of the new VS suits are fuckin' BRUTAL. I like that the characters can now Sprint (press B) and I'm also liking the new character designs. The sound seems to be upgraded and being able to choose where one respawns is nice.

Yea I gave this new demo a shot and it was fun. I wish I could have customized my guy though. It seemed the peeps I played with could. It felt odd not to have a way to take cover, and I didnt figure out the sprint

Played the coop last night and thought it was pretty good despite being a bit short. As far as the story/battles is it mainly against big bosses like that, against other factions, both or what? None of us really knew.
